If you are looking for FMOD assistance, go to the below:

Forums > Community Home > Forum Help

This is a suggestion thread to help inform people how to find Forum Help (see above), and also about how it can be made more accessible.

The official Forum Help sticky doesn't show up in your search results because stickied and locked threads by default don't show up, unless you manually change your search filter (Sort/Filter) each time. Forum Help also *isn't* in this Website and Forums subforum, because that subforum is for feedback and improvements to the Runescape website and the RSOF (Runescape Official Forums) :P
Damrov, I see your title has been changed to what's requested so I'm glad an fmod was able to help you out :)

There's probably something better we could do with this to make it easier to find, although it's a balance of "this is the first thing you see" and "I am enjoying my forum experience without having to worry about the rules / reporting being in my face as a regular user"

Forum Help has a lot of potential to be a valuable tool to the community, and not just to the technical upkeep of the forums.

I wish that it was more evident that you could ask quick forum moderating questions there--I've asked on Forum Help whether it's appropriate to ask questions about the forums, because that's what the thread title implies but not at all what the OP includes, and I've received two responses that said you're allowed to ask questions there. The example I posted about was asking in which forum to create a thread, and some others I can think of are asking if it's okay to post about this or that.

At least one of the fmod responses I received also mentioned that Forum Help isn't meant to be a discussion thread, which I interpreted as no commentary on the rules, but brief questions that someone with visible credibility can assist with. With that stipulation, Forum Help can still function how it is now without being "derailed."

Great idea! It would be a good step forward. If anyone has questions about the rules, hopefully they feel comfortable asking on Forum Help for help on forum moderation related matters, aka not getting their posts or threads hidden :p

And having a link to Forum Help at least in the CoC, maybe even underneath the thread search next to the Forum Mods, Code of Conduct, and Search Users links, would be easier to code than redoing the thread search system :)

Every time I read this thread title I want to post "It's in community home section" lol.

Support. :P

Maybe a small clickable text link next to the Forum Mods/Code of Conduct buttons at the top of the forums as well.

This is what i like about the rules being trailed. If gives you some flexibility and freedom of speech, however it still keeps the integrity of the forums.
