There is no single solution for this, but if you ask me there are two parts in the puzzle:

1. CM Jmod interaction
2. Forum software

The first one is crucial, as for the last 10 years of RSOF we have witnessed CM Jmod population shrunk from 9 regular members to just 1 today (Mod Meadows). It is a basic business interest of companies today to interact via Social Media, hence Jmods with no other tasks but to interact through social media platforms were hired. If only Jagex tweak their job description to 50:50, fifty percent in Social Media and 50% of their time here in RSOF that will work wonders.

The second one is a much bigger problem, as it will incur cost at Jagex's end. We're still stuck with this old forum software from what? Something like 15-years ago, with Jagex from time-to-time updating it to add few features here and there. If we can have a new forum software that supports common forum controls, it will be easier for players to navigate here compared to social media.

I don't think handing-out xp through forum activity will be the answer. It is a wrong solution to the problem.

Unfortunately, this is how I looked at it, too.

However, this does not put an end to your suggestion. Can we modify it, are you willing to change some aspects if we can find one that works? I may have a few ideas to share with you.

It seems the problems are hand in hand; promotion and business. So, lets try and wrap our heads around promoting the forums and runescape while leaving the business-end of things unjeapordized?

It all boils down to Jagex's willingness to invest for RSOF, not just maintaining the status quo, throwing small updates here and there for the forums every super blue moon. W&F is hosting thousands of threads on how RSOF can be improved, but mosts of the best suggestions here requires Jagex to invest, to fund the project of improving RSOF.

I've been very straight to the point in this thread. We can discuss how much we want RSOF to improve, even up to 2000 posts in this thread. But the buck stops at Jagex, their willingness to spend money for the improvements of the forum, especially its infrastructure and manpower spending.

I never said not to discuss proposed improvements.

Loveless XIX, you are new to the forum, so let me put it this way.

1. Ignore my green glow, I'm just a forumer posting my opinion on the issue raised on this thread. Some misinterprets me as they continue seeing my green glow, they think I am speaking with authority all the time. If I'm posting in brown, you will never react that way for sure. Try re-reading my post and not seeing the green glow and you'll interpret it differently.

2. In my time here in RSOF, I've seen excellent suggestions. Suggestions were thought long and hard by passionate forumers here in W&F section.

3. We're not seeing improvements as often as we wish and as drastic as we want, because Jagex has not given RSOF the privilege to be in their priority list. It has something to do with money, and willingness to spend for RSOF drastic improvements.

As I said in my initial post on this thread, the two fundamental issue are CM Jmod availability and RSOF infrastructure obsolescence. If Jagex continue not to address those two, any improvements to be added to RSOF will always be minor. And we don't want minor updates, as RSOF needs an overhaul.

Southeaster, these two issues once solved will basically open the floodgates of massive improvements for RSOF:

1. CM Jmod interaction
2. Forum software

I highlighted those issues in my response to 278-279-822-66070387, RSOF issues are mostly due to legacy. I said the same thing here, no sugar-coating. And I'll say it the same even if I am not wearing the green uniform. That is my personal opinion, nobody is compelled to comply or agree with my opinion.

And btw, I saw your former post above edited out. Thanks for that.

You're making it sound like we should not bother because Jagex rarely does anything, if at all. Do you realise that?

I myself has a suggestion thread in this forum, which you yourself often bump.
