I am unable to quote posts that are purely numbers. Anyone else have this issue?

What is wrong with not being able to quote numbers?

In what instances would you need to quote numbers?

I don't feel this is an issue as you can't have a conversation with a number. The post you are quoting must have words in it otherwise it's a troll/spam post or has been posted in the wrong forum, I just don't see an issue.

Yeah this is an old one.
It's due to the feature using JQuery on the client end. It helpfully converts the post from a string to a number due to the contents being entirely numeric.

quoteButton
.data(
"message"
).replace(
/\\n/g
,
'\n'
);

Since the 'replace' method is not available on the 'number' data-type, this results in an error and prevents quoting.

I'll let CM Nick know how it works and see what can be posted back. ;)

Literally just needs .toString() before the .replace

(If anyone wonders why I've disappeared, it's because I'm a node developer now :p)

@Whos-Dr, I have never heard of a Node developer so I googled it:

Node.js (Node) is an open source development platform for executing JavaScript code server-side. ... Node.js is intended to run on a dedicated HTTP server and to employ a single thread with one process at a time. Node.js applications are event-based and run asynchronously.

I am still just as confused as to what is a Node developer :O
