To poll a game change or update is to allow the community to determine the outcome on whether that content enters the game.

If something is polled, it therefore is decided by the community.

If something is indeed an integrity change, then it should never be polled in the first place. Because it wouldn't need to be.

Polling something, disregarding the results, and then implementing it anyway, is deliberately going against the community on something that is not truly an integrity change. It had already been determined as something the community should they themselves decide. This could be considered "rigging" of poll results, and also against the spirit of the game.

My thread is in regards to ANY (content) poll that fails and is then considered an integrity update at a later date.

Polls that are then repolled later, while can understandably make people upset, still leaves the outcome in the hands of the community.

Polling something and then deciding it's actually an integrity update snatches the control of the game from the players after previously giving it to them.

This thread isn't about spite votes, nor accusations of them.

I couldn't care less what you intended this thread to be about, to be honest. You need to understand what the opposition's argument is. It's that spite voting made this an integrity issue. Is it right or wrong? I think it's right and you think it's wrong? But here's the fact that you need to understand. The opposition thinks that spite voters prevented it from passing 4 times. Any community being spite voted is an integrity issue.

Jagex already stated that they're working on something to let things get polled just for pkers, right? Then why the need to shove certain changes into the game as "integrity" fixes when that's just around the corner?

Example how this is a problem and not revolving around pro-pker changes. Teleblock is going to get an expiration message. This means that people under attack in the wilderness will now know exactly when they can escape their pursuers, which means pkers may earn less kills.

Regardless of my feelings on the update (I think it's a good change), it is in no way an "integrity fix" and absolutely deserves to be polled.

No support.

Just because Jagex makes idiotic decisions doesn't change that fact.

Their old stance was stupid and they realized it. They can't poll 100% of changes because some of them fail to pass by their very nature of making the game harder or being a nerf.

So just because of THEIR screw up doesn't mean the game should suffer.

I want more integrity changes. Because this game has A LOT of integrity issues to solve.

I'm not arguing against integrity changes. I'm arguing against things being polled to players and then Jagex going back on their word, rewriting it as an integrity change.

Example: Items dropped are now instantly visible to other players in the wilderness. This was polled, failed, then implemented.
