I enjoy the idea of a mid level dungeon for mid game content that helps players ease into higher level pvm. Most of the content in the blog seems great however I would suggest changing the prayer burning of bones to 2.5x and polling some better rewards for the spider boss. The secret chambers and lore you have to discover to unlock them is a nice touch! Overall I would like this content to be fleshed out a little more, and a tad more specific on what kind of loot we can expect the new monsters to drop. Good work guys, and thanks for always keeping an eye on the lower-mid tier players!

Edit: Also I'm not sure if I'll get any answers here but we have a Hill Giant boss, a Moss Giant boss, could we maybe complete the trifecta soon and get a Fire Giant Boss in the works?

Looks good to me, but as Oathkeepr said, I would like to see the bone burner xp bonus reduced. At 2x I would vote in favour, at 3x I'll vote against. Anyone that wants changes to make ironman easier should be renamed wannabe-man and have their ironman icon replaced with a dunce hat.

The claws on Sarachnis look pretty neat, and creepy. Maybe one can be obtained as a unique mid-level weapon reward from the boss (or an extension to an existing weapon)? I was thinking a decent weapon that degrades and requires spider eggs/parts to repair.

"If you have any ideas for the boss, including rewards, make sure to let us know! "

A PvP mage weapon. Considering that it would not take that much to be viable and its niche uses, it coming from a medium level boss would be fine. So, just a quick idea that could work for this:

Sarachnis Scepter

A claw/part of the leg of Sarachnis is added to trident. Stats and damage does not change, but enables its use in PvP, with some changes applied for balance sake:

• All charges will drop on death regardless if weapon is protected or not. In addition, the weapon will also require more runes to charge. (Ie: bloods, wraths or w/e)
• Casting distance will be reduced to 2-3 squares.
• Casting speed is reduced by 1 tick.

The intention of this would be to provide mages with a lower dps option that allows venge to be used, to provide an alternative to the high dps but monotonous way of pking that the skill currently suffers from.

Notes:

• Due to lower dps, lack of utility and range limitation, hybrids would be much better off staying with ancients.
• Since all charges are dropped on death, raggers would be better off staying with crystal bow or blowpipe.
• Assuming equal hitchance and no mage pot (as the level boost is shortly lived, so wouldn't be worth the inventory space) , dps would be roughly 21% less than SoTD, 10% less than Ahrim staff and 7% less than ancient staff.
OSRS Mage Tank.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

"if you vote no to this we're adding it anyway"
"if you vote no to this we're removing X from NMZ anyway"

quit it with this.

Another unnecessary boss being offered that promises to be rewarding. No doubt the drops will be skilling resources that devalue actually training gathering skills and favors PvM, as per usual.

Seriously, this could be a great chance to incorporate some sort of spider egg gathering to skilling, but instead it's just another unnecessary PvM update.

Same goes for the chest offered. No discussion on what's actually in the chest, just that it's valuable and PvMers should want it. Jagex needs to actually discuss drop tables so we know what we're getting into.

Sounds great to me! I haven't resubbed just yet but probably will to give this a go while exploring New Hosidius.

It has to be up to Jagex to decide balancing at the end of the day. You know players just vote for whatever benefits themselves the most, not what's the most balanced.
Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

I'm not asking to individually vote on every single item on the drop table. We have literally no idea what's in the chest and Jagex's balance decisions haven't been good.

Hmm. Sounds like we’re doing a spider/undead chaos druid theme.

Will the chest also be a way to gather spider eggs/eye of newts/I don’t know, other weird body parts that are needed for some skill and it makes sense to find it in the chest? Maybe undead plant related things?

Items for the spider boss (which looks very freaky by the way. Almost gives my arachnophobia a fright. Nice design!):

What about some sort of weapon that throws spider webs at people? Can be mage/range. I imagine that throwing spider webs at people doesn’t hurt but can cause them to get stuck, so quite literally I’m thinking this weapon is just for binding people in place (deals no damage). The spider could also drop web charges? In my head this sounds kind of OP but also kind of fun to include in some setups for PvP/PvM.

Going off that theme, you could do a web shield that has a chance of making your opponent sticky (which would keep them from attacking you for a little bit). Again, this sounds potentially very OP in some settings so it would need a lot of balancing. Also the idea of needing to recharge it with some webby item from the spider boss itself.

More web theme: web gloves that make you immune to the passive web shield effect? I guess on that theme the web shield makes you immune to the web throwing weapon. Web charges still needed.

Spiny attachment: add to dragon/abyssal dagger to increase damage/a greater poison effect, but degrades over time and lowers accuracy.

I might have more ideas but I have class now. Be back later.
