Why is something that hasn't passed polls added into Deadman?

*Sniff*Sniff*....... You guys smell that? Smells like a hidden agenda to me.

I think you're looking into this one a bit too much A Duh2...

There are many things in Deadman that have not passed a poll in the main game. You'll also notice that there are even more changes we've made that have never been polled - we just don't poll anything purely Deadman related.

I believe I am not, the second comment on this thread shows exactly the logic that I am questioning.

All those changes are in the spirit of Deadman so more people have time to PK and not do entry level questing. A majority of the changes were things Deadman players (seasonal and tourny) have been wanting, except the addition of the PvP armours.

It is rightfully given that you don't poll Deadman changes as not as much of the player base plays it and it is a limited time event where the stats get erased at the end. But adding something not many people, if any at all, were asking for that also failed many previous polls is quite questionable.

So I ask again, why were these added and what will happen if these do gain popularity in Deadman?

every pvper in game wants these pvp armors and weapons. the only people who dont want them are cry baby pvmers on reddit that litterally ruin all pvp updates by voting no, no matter how beneficial it would be to the game. gtfo

Oh really you speak for, and spoke to, all PvPers right? Just because you and the people you talked to want it, doesn't mean it represents the majority view of the ~65k players. Even if you talked to 650 people, that is 1% of the population which is no where near a good sample size.

People possibly couldn't want stats changed or they way they are being implemented changed, or just didn't like the weapons and spec attacks themselves. Similar to what happened with Original Raids, the first few drops failed, then the community and the mods shared ideas of what some drops can be and then the items proposed passed after 3 rounds in the polls.

September rewards for Raids 1: http://services.runescape.com/m=poll/oldschool/results.ws?id=1323

October rewards for Raids 1: https://services.runescape.com/m=poll/oldschool/results.ws?id=1325

November rewards for Raids 1: http://services.runescape.com/m=poll/oldschool/results.ws?id=1328

You do realize that another popular opinion on reddit is that people voted no just out of spite? Also one gripe from other PvPers was that rushing is already a problem and these armours would just add to that fact as it degrades and is untradeable once it degrades (similar to Barrows items); and adding to the fact it would only last 1hr. Weird that in the DMM news post they mention in bold it doesn't degrade and is tradeable.

I believe it is you that needs to leave.

This is kind of sad to see IMO, yet again Jagex pandering to the streamers and Youtubers and the average players kicked to the waste side.

I guess I just don't understand the logic here? They remove barrows armor because it's too OP and generally only fed streamers/Youtubers and swappers can afford it and then replace it with even better armor/weapons, which will likely be un-obtainable for average players??? Then by auto-completing quests you force everyone to PK in high traffics areas VS. areas where people have escapes this kind of funneling will only feed these OP people even more. I get it these content creators generate a lot of hype for the game-mode, but are far from the back-bone.

Very disappointed in this update, 100% agree these changes should've been polled.
