It would be nice to recieve new content I dont have to finish 3 subquests and have 50 thieving levels to enjoy. You know just saying, I am not motivated to slog through your 15 year old content.

... so what are we discussing here then?

Also, you’ll have to do that content like the rest of us. Sorry.

Im in a really foul mood because most of the "member's content" is locked behind quests with rediculous requirements. "Ooh it says I can volcanic mine at lvl 50" requirements: a whole 30 levels of thieving to get started on some quest chaining. " oooh It says I can craft xerician at level 14" requirement kill a lizardman (66) with 5% favor under shayzien (some quests probably involved in construction).

Its too much for me to want to do this extra stuff, but also have to sit brain dead on 25 extra theiving, farming or contruction level ( pointless fluff that i get charged hard earned money for )

So do he lower level stuff first?

Being a member doesn't entitle you to all the members stuff for no effort...

everything would be devalued then.

Ok fair enough but Runescape was advertised as a "sandbox mmo". Same problem with why I cut sub to FF14arr. What is even the godly point of buying an expansion if I have to subscribe and trade my limited human existence on this earth (time) just to see any of it? Thats was 30 seconds of wikipedia and YouTube are for.

Firstly, you’ll want to scroll down into the Old School RuneScape forums.

Second, RuneScape IS a sandbox MMO. You’re not restricted by a class system, and you can do ALL the game content on one character.

With that said, RuneScape is an MMO. MMO’s are, by their nature, long and grindy games.

If you don’t like it, unsub and go play another game! There’s nothing wrong with not enjoying MMOs on a fundamental level. They aren’t for everyone.

Although, if you can’t be bothered to unlock stuff, you’ll have a sore time in video games with not terrible progression systems.

Too bad. If you value your time (and that you are not limited by DIY playstyle), you also have that option of MTX to hasten progression; this goes for every (if not, most) games out there and especially MMOs.

You complain about the fact that you have to fulfill requirements to access something you find worth indulging in. Well, the key here is accessing new content is not always a cake served on a plate; you gotta bake it (aka put some time and effort in).

Also. TIME is MONEY.

Whining is not the answer.

But let's be real here. Some of those old quests are pretty dated.

Still, it takes a long time for devs to update the old stuff, especially given that it isn't often very highly appreciated and customers would prefer to see new content added instead.
