I used to play years ago, and I remember Castle Wars used to be hopping, now the official world is dead, and I do see theres a bunch of clans that basically just want to rig the game to grind out tickets. Hey, times change got it. Anyone still legitimately play? I just need to win one game to complete the ardy achievements, I don't mind fighting for it in a legit game. Anybody still actually playing CW? "Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity. Seek out argument and disputation for it's own sake, the grave will supply plenty of time for silence"-

Short answer. Not really. But here's more info that probably won't satisfy you :-)

There's a few fcs that boost games as you mentioned. I help out with both Cwar United and HowManyGames, and both fcs are happy to help people like you get their achievements done (just pm me or any other rank listed on the forum threads). The people in these fcs (and also CWE, which I'm not involved in) are generally just trying to get the castle wars req for Trim done, or other similarly time-consuming goals (e.g. 5k game count), and don't really want to play the game actively for hundreds or thousands of hours.

Occasionally there are events hosting legitimate games, e.g. hosted by Mod Lee, or Achievement Help, or CWUEvents, but these are unpredictable and as far as I know none are planned right now.

If you go to w24 when castle wars is on spotlight (I think next one is Nov 1st-3rd) it will be busy. You could call it a legitimate game, but realistically the majority of the people there are just afking and hoping they got lucky and picked the winning team. That's just the state of the minigame right now.

Not that-long-ago games used to occasionally run on w24 even when its not spotlight, but haven't checked in a while.

You can try your luck on 24 at different times of day, if you don't want to deal with the fcs or wait until spotlight. You could also just get a few friends to help you start a game if all you care about is those achievements (only need 2 people on each side to start a game).

Thank you, I may hit you up on that. "Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity. Seek out argument and disputation for it's own sake, the grave will supply plenty of time for silence"-
