profiled, looks good don't want emote clues to be removed I think keeping them is important since they are their own component in clues. It would also make costume skip tickets useless. I think making it so that you have to equip the items should stay, just so costume skip tickets don't become dead content. People can choose to pay a little extra for convenience. I enjoy that clues are a bit more tedious to do, its one of the reasons i enjoy them personally. I just want the idea of clue scrolls to stay and not be removed for the sake of convenience.

Sounds great.

I only have one tiny request - could we be able to store multiple of an item incase we lose it before putting it back in? I believe there are at least 2 emote wilderness clues (possibly more with rework) and just incase we get pked during the uri/wizard fight we should have a spare set or something?

I don't think there is something wrong with the costume clues. I actualy do enjoy them. About the bank space.. it only takes 20 bank spaces to do hard clues. So I don't realy see the problem here.

This might change after the Treasure Trails update though, especialy when there will be more costume clues.
The currently suggested solution (STASH) for the bank space eating costume items is alright to me.

I have one question though (to people who have experience with this Hidey Holes in OSRS):
What will be the difference in time between banking for the items and the Hidey Holes idea?
Which one will be faster and what will be the difference?

About removing the costume clues... Yea! Why not aswell remove the slide/knot puzzels! And while you are at it you might aswell want to remove all the other Treasure Trails assignments...!
Nahh.. that doesn't work. Costume clues are also part of Treasure Trails and that should remain that way.

Before I vote, I want some more answers on my question related to STASH (Hidey Holes) above.

Greetings,

I'm glad to see that this is finally being acknowledged. It sounds good to me as outlined in the dev blog and the interface to show which ones are filled is a nice touch. How will that interface be accessed?

@Zyouko
In OldSchool, you still have to grab the items from the hideyhole, equip them, and manually do the emote. It's literally only a small storage cubby, same as putting it in your bank except its in a more convenient location (in OSRS it's usually a handful of tiles away from the clue location - convenient but not right on top of it). It doesn't save a lot of time, mostly just bank space. The only time I could see it saving is maybe if you have trouble distinguishing some of the lower level items from each other since we don't have a need for them in any other scenario (ie coif vs cowl look very similar). You might need only 20 bank spaces for your clues, but some of us enjoy ALL tiers of clues and thus are using 94 bank spaces for this. It's quite an outdated system and it really does need to change in one way or another. To me this sounds like the least disruptive solution because it still requires you to own, store and wear the items as well as doing the emote. And then you still have to remember to return it all back to its STASH when you're done, same as banking.

In other words, it's still staying true to the efforts required for clues. It just means that we'll no longer have to store otherwise obsolete gear in our bank anymore.

Actually the best solution for this issue: More overworld construction, which is a decent upgrade for this skill and an improvement for those annoying clues (without having to remove them) - albeit I would make those stashes permanent - just the same way as the shortcut holes are. Wouldn't be cool if you're breaking it by accident Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
Quick Fixes: Invention

I strongly approve of the STASH idea. Yes!

I am also very much against removing emote clues entirely. Please don't do that, Some people just want free reward caskets handouts

Saves me some bank space, so I won't complain, but I have a few questions/suggestions:

1. I understand that you'll have to retrieve items from the hidey hole and put them on. Will you have to search through the hidey hole (like you search through a bank) or will you just be able to click on it and automatically withdraw the things you need.

2. Related to 1... will depositing items back in the hole be automatic (or one click), and can it happen if you have the items equipped? I'd hate to get to the end of a clue and have a bunch of stuff I forgot to put back in the boxes, and then be missing them next time I clue.

3. I quite liked the idea of a universal clue costume... maybe a rare costume piece could be a new reward in addition to this.

You know how some clues have a right-click dig option for map/coordinate clues. Can there be a right-click option on clues with emotes if the clue wants you to use an emote to solve it?
