They have the money to fix the forums, they can afford to employ 2 or 3 people to take on this task - we all know at the last financial year they made over 100 million - that is plenty of money to give these forums a bit of paint.
Jagex saying they don't have the resources at this stage or whatever other excuse is a load of hogwash. Jagex chooses not to do up the forums - any excuses is a load of hogwash.
Noble thinking but fixing The RSOF is as fixing Jagex first and currently they do not think that they themselves are the problem but in reality they are. Jagex are the problem ... painfully I brush them all as one because there's no better way to deal with it. Jagex ... as a whole ... aren't a unity but more or less a unity under pressure. The very top inside Jagex have hijacked the company from functioning properly. Jagex are hijacked by their own "project" and have difficulty to snap out of it. Jagex themselves are without a future vision ... have shooo-ed away most of their players, therefore no player interaction, and are right back at the beginning with player interaction as they were back in 2000. Bright & great minds may create wonderful things but if you lack understanding understanding of who is gonna make use of your products then one may have big problems.
I've prayed and begged for the forums to get a little love from Jagex and the Community. But sadly unless Jagex use the forums a lot more there is little incentive for anyone to use them.
We only have a handful of people left now who use the forums on a daily basis. We have the other people too who use it daily. You know who you are...
I would love to see a forum make over and an influx of people including Jagex staff using them. But we have to see the light here and I can't see it happening. It's a shame really as these forums used to get 500,000+ posts a week (fact) and I have no idea how many they get now but I bet it's less then 10,000.
Gone are the good old days of a full very active forums with 500+ people using them. We can all point fingers to say why it's gone this way like rules too strict, F-Mods muting too many, Jagex not interacting with the forums. It's a shame but I blame Social Media like Twitter, Reddit and Discord. Jagex use them a lot more then anything now and the Community can get hold of them a lot easier then they can on the forums.
Jagex could spend cash on the forums and give them a massive update but if Jagex won't use them it's not financially viable to them to do so.
I would pay more for my membership to support a better more used forum.

If I can offer Jagex a solution to fix their RS3-Mobile version today for free they would be all ears, they would love to hear that and get on with it.
Just ask them, Jagex, to be more present on The RSOF and interact with their player base is a too much bigger offer which will cost them loads of money instead we need to go to Social Media as that is is there for free. Jagex are talking a lot of bullshit these days because these RSOF are here for free as it is Jagex's property at their disposal.
Jagex are hiring a lot of expensive "employees" whom come to rake a fine salary but they achieve nothing licking the heals of Jagex's executives. Jagex is wasting lots of money ... really wasting lots of money ...

I never said how much but if I have to pay for a better more used by Jagex staff forums it would be around £1 per month. Please do rethink ... you would pay money to talk to another person ... if you stretch that into the future one will use that for other means and thus we'll have to pay for every digit where much of The Internet already has been payed for by yourself but you do not know where they got the money from. A lot of innovation / development / improvement is gained for free, build on a low cost scale and hosted in a way it produces tons of money and you still wanna pay more???
Tufftysaid: If the money was used just for the forum upkeep wouldn't you want that too?
Jagex could hire a dev person just to keep the forums going.NO ... NO ... NO ...
It is really absurd to pay people a lot of money, huge salary, to just say "hey hi, hello player X". That said we would have to pay for our player-support, which could mean that we have to pay for a solution Jagex could have created themselves. LOL You pay membership, have MXT and other things which provides Jagex tons of money and you still wanna pay them more to get some answers? I am not going to pay someone else's exclusive lifestyle to keep it up making them have a good time.
