Can't start another clue

So basically, I deleted an elite clue of mine because I couldn't complete it, now everytime I try to click on an unsealed elite I get the chatbox message

"You already have an acrive elite treasur etrail. You'll need to either complete or destroy that before starting another."

That's the problem, I did delete my one I was already doing.

When you say "delete", do you mean destroy the clue scroll? Or were you trying to open a different tier clue scroll?
You cannot have an opened elite clue scroll in your inventory or the bank as well.

Sorry for the misleading use of the word delete, I meant that I right-clicked the clue in my inventory and "destroyed" it. I have no active elite clue in my bank, or in my inventory, yet it won't let me start a new one. :(
