No - if you argue like this torva likely ruined bandos, which itself ruined whatever was worn before that - continue the sequence until you've reached adamant if you want.

To be honest: Masterwork is one of best concepted armours. It is a dumb idea having everything on an entirely linear path, but incorporating torva and malevolent into trimmed masterwork was grandious. If torva was ruined it should be worth less than pernix/virtus now - right?

You cannot augment the new t90, you can augment malevolent.

Therefore people will still buy malev, simple.

I believe you can augment both standard and trimmed masterwork? I'm pretty sure the standard masterwork armour can be augmented but I'm on the fence about trimmed.

I vaguely remember hearing from people in game that if you custom fit your trimmed masterwork before augmenting it you can't augment it and will need another set - augment it first then custom fit.

You can augment both masterworks, just not elder rune.

This custom fit-augmenting thing is given due to a not-so-intuitive procedure, that armour is used as soon as you wear it - and if it's degrade-to-dust (not technically in this case, but it's a special kind of armour basically) you can't augment it at all even at 100 % of charges.

Suity's wiki said that only the trimmed masterwork, and the 3 non-smithable pickaxes would be augmentable. I haven't tested it in game, so I could be wrong.

Well PvM dropped armour ruined player made equipment over 10 years ago, so wasn't it about time they fixed their mistake?
No, because endgame combat gear should come from endgame bosses.

Also try 15 years - the best gear was always meant to come from bosses and thats why Rune was only level 40 to begin with.

Why not both actually? Have bosses drop components, which have to be assembled with high artisan levels and raw components stemming from gathering skills? Trimmed masterwork is the perfect template for this to be honest.

Because that devalues PvM drops. Alexraptor said:
Completely false.
KQ says hi.

How is a PvM drop devalued if it is actually needed to create the BiS equipment (or well just stuff equivalent to what the boss should offer)? Torva made a good plus ever since the update (weirdly despite the fact it is weaker than regular masterwork), Malevolent did that as well (also weirdly despite the fact it is way more inconvenient to use than regular masterwork). Or are you ranting because stuff like bandos wasn't included in masterwork smithing?
