I'll bet these new "stone spirits" will crash in price to as low as the seeds from Wishing Well bushes, completely ruining PvM profits! They should run a poll to prove people do NOT like this new Mining and Smithing Rework!

Calling it a little early, don't you think? If they do crash in price, it will make mining with them extremely lucrative, causing them to rise in price. I do expect an overall hindrance to PvM profits though, as they will inevitably be at least a little bit lower price than the ores themselves.
Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

what do stone spirits do now. ????????????

Basically whenever you get an ore a spirit is consumed to grant you a second one. It's just like a direct ore drop, only you have to put in a bit more of work.

I'm a bit skeptical about the stone spirits because even while the M&S rework is very popular at the moment, these items aren't exactly selling, so I can't say whether they'll actually be useful or if Jagex made a mistake in making them. After people get their fix from the M&S rework, the already niche stone spirits will become even more niche and may just never have enough demand to justify their addition.

Personally, I think they should've just scrapped the stone spirits in favor of more salvage, and if it turns out the stone spirits are not worth it, I hope they do just that.

However, it's not all doom and gloom, and I hope they do get enough demand to sell and become a profitable item.
Here, I'll give you this strawberry if you keep it a secret!

These stone spirits are a waste for me, give me back my gold ores from mining stars. I have 200 million in mining and the only mining I want to do is the new ores and stars for the rewards. These stone spirit things are trying to force me to mine without getting any experience from the mining. Btw I have tried to sell them to no avail so totally worthless for me and not a good thing. Please make a way to get my ores without the mining cause it is like working with out pay which I am sure no one at Jagex would like to do.

Same here, with 200m mining. The stone spirits are pretty much useless for every day for me, and when I tried to sell some on ge, they didn't sell. not even at 1 gp. This is worse than the high level farming seeds that sell for 1 gp (wishing well bush, prickly pear, the like), because the xp you get from the is half baked.

I loved getting the 20 gold ore from shooting star reward; it's how I got my gold to smelt and to make jewelry. These things also replaced the ores you got pickpocketing in Trahaern district and in Iorwerth. Gee. I sure can't smith with them, and why should I waste my time mining ores I get no xp for just to smith it?

Give us an alternative, Jagex. Please.
