Pre-M&S rework, the gemstone golem armor was the best for mining. I've heard some say that post-rework, high strength power armor and overloads are best.

My question is, without using potions or overloads, just the Lava Titan and Quarrymaster Aura, which would be the better outfit to wear, Gemstone Golem or full Masterwork armor (untrimmed)?

I don't think that the strength bonus of your armour would help you at all. Your level (or better said every 10 strength levels (the stat)) have an effect. This said an overload helps slightly for mining - if it's worth it to you should you answer for yourself.

Basically magic golem grants you a 5 % higher crit chance, increases the multiplier by 1 if using a rockertunity, makes LRC creatures unaggressive (that one isn't really useful anymore) and would grant you up to 6 % more xp depending on you own the golden mining outfit or not (which has become more reliable to farm as well with the rework).

So even if armour strength bonus would work (I am not fully sure as said), it's probably still only good for afking.

Jagex did say that 1/10th of your strength level is added to your mining level as an invisible boost. Considering i'm 91 strength already, and with combat gear i can get an increase of like 140 strength, that's an additional 23ish mining level boost before strength potions. I'm wondering if this is better than the Golem outfit cuz an additional 23 level invisible boost is pretty significant.

You're mistaking something here:

There is a strength level (your stat) and a style bonus (called strength for melee, ranged for ranged and magic for magic) - the latter just increases the damage you deal. You are not actually level 140 (or whatever more you're equipping on equipment - amulet of souls doesn't make you 46 levels higher - and so on)

See that's the thing. I've heard otherwise. I've heard the strength bonus gained from Masterwork armor and the Amulet of Souls actually does help with mining. I dont know for sure tho.

I'm asking cuz i'm in the process of trying to collect a MASSIVE amount of ore (40,000 in total) and need whatever i can to help speed things up.

I'd say it like this: I would rather trust this guy, than something that could be at best placebo effect.

Let's actually say power equipment does work: You're accumulating at best something around 10 damage per swing, but you're sacrificing the ability to port your mined produce, you're sacrificing your rockertunity multiplier (which is something you certainly should use for high levelled ores), you're sacrificing additional crit chance. Since you do not seem to care for xp or additional loot (luck/GotE) this would fall short as an argument. But - you're also sacrificing your double ore chance inherited from varrock armour.

Likewise said for auras: First use quarrymaster, then berserker.
