Between now and the rework update going live, are there any major differences to be expected between the current version of the beta and the update? Since it's so close to going live, maybe they just didn't want to bother adding some changes to the beta or something.

I want to start strategizing what things I should do and start calculating the math on stuff but none of the stats of items are on the wiki yet so I'd have to collect them myself in the beta, but if they're going to be different in the update, I might as well wait for it to go live and for other people to update the wiki.

I asked the same thing in the Mining/Smithing rework board, with no response (other than my thread being somewhat derailed).

You may just have to wait and see how the live release differs from the second beta.

I expect that the input from the beta will allow them to tweak things such as how long it takes to mine ores. (And, as in the first beta, some things would have to be made easier just so that people would be willing to take the time to test them.)

But some of the other details - like the locations where the different ores are found - may indeed be intentionally kept secret, with those in the beta not necessarily having any correspondence to where they will be found when it goes live, presumably after update on the 7th.

So I'm not going to be too shocked if going out to the dig site isn't what I need to do to get my hands on Dark Animica.

Since Tier 60 Dragon armour, and Tier 70 God armour are not degradeable, I am a bit surprised that all the new metals, not just the two highest, form only degradeable armours and weapons. Of course, degradeable isn't really as bad when you can just mine and smith what's needed for repair.

I'd be surprised if the locations changed.
That's a huge change to do within the last two weeks of the beta, after they tested various mining sites and balanced the game for that.
