I actually never thought of it as being against the rules. As I do snip out sentences or paragraphs if it's not relevant or too much text.
The only reason I asked this question is we have (had) a couple of grammar police (excuse the expression) who in the past has been on my case and I was just wondering do people fix quoted mistakes in general if you come across them.
Tufftysaid: I leave 99% of them unless thay would cause more embarassment to the poster.
After all who makes more tipos them Me? I ask you lol. I am very confident my reputation with typos is quite mind blowing and quite frankly, it depends what it is about and who are involved. Sometimes I feel too embarrassed to correct them over and over so to some extend I leave them as they are.
Dong U Deadsaid: When quoting do you fix the quoted post spelling/grammar mistakes or just ignore them?I have altered entire JMod posts in the past of which they weren't that happy about happening but they got my drift what I was trying to push through but I'll refrain from doing it again in the future.
