I played back in 06 and now still playing.. I ask if you can please put my name forward to see I am able to be a player Moderator. I receive messages via the message centre off Mod Gambit about attending events and feedbacks as I do try participate.

I would greatly appreciate if a jagex Mod could please pass this forward, thank you for your time in reading and responding.

Hey!

I'm glad to see that you are participating in and enjoying the community. Players chosen for Player and Forum Moderator roles have been hand-picked by Jagex based on criteria you can read about on the Player Moderators thread. There's other information about the roles available there as well, so give the thread a good read.

The most important thing to remember is that your enjoyment of the game and the fun you have being a part of the community should be your priority. Just be yourself and have fun.

The Moderators and Community Helpers support article has some additional information as well.

Remember Jagex had a Thread saying that if you were interested in becoming a PMod that you could put your name forward and that they would look into it. This was many many years ago in which i put my name forward but never heard anything back:( Maybe they could do something like that again sometime

If I can recall (excuse me if don't accurately quote) I believe either SteveW or Infinity had mentioned something a while ago in regards to that thread being "Are you community focused?" that they may as well have pulled names from a hat or picked names at random and found better results.

Don't get me wrong, aspiring to do 'more' for the community is by no means a bad thing but if you take a look at the thread posted above by Spearmint30 one of the criteria they actively look for is patience.

Enjoying being a part of a community you love, partaking in events and from the sounds of it, getting feedback from staff which is more than most get is rewarding enough.

The fact you've had this, with or without a crown should be taken for what it is as a privilege.

Play the game, do what you're doing but don't forget to always put that first.

Some players are amazing people, do great things within the game and their areas of the community and will never see a crown. All I'm saying is, don't hold out on an in-game status, that's not to say you wont ever see an invite but let it be a surprise, not an expectation.

The best way to "become a PMod" is simply to try and not to become one. Engaging in the community is a wonderful thing, and it may get you noticed. Also remember that Jagex is always incognito ingame so you never really know if you're ever talking to a JMod (on their personal accounts).

Always keep your account secure, making sure that you're up to date on all of your security settings. Helping people can and may get you noticed, but as they've always stated, just enjoy the game, and play the game as you normally do.

A few years ago, they did release a thread named, "Are You Community Focused?" which did give people the opportunity to basically shoot their shot in attempt to possibly becoming a PMod maybe even an FMod. Some people abused that post with spamming it in hopes of getting noticed, and some were fortunately chosen.

Players are being checked if not daily, maybe weekly and or monthly, so people are granted that privilege quite frequently even though you don't hear of it much, but remember! Being a a PMod is a privilege, and not a necessity. Also remember that PMods are normal, everyday players as well! Another thing to keep in mind is, you definitely do not need to have a crown in order to make a difference in the community, you only kill your chances even more by asking to become one.

Just enjoy the game, and keep doing what you're doing. :)
