ALL THE SPOILERS! BEWARE!

So, was Sliske actually a God, then, or are we just doomed to face a rocky death, as well?

He's a Mahjarrat, we "die" over and over in-game but Death just gives us a pass until our job is done.
We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.

Well I know this, but normal Mahjarrat don't die by turning to stone.

But he didn't die, he just did joker and injected his soul into us like in batman game series.

I knowwwwww...

I'm saying that his BODY TURNED TO STONE, SO, if we were to die, and NOT BE BROUGHT BACK, would our body turn to stone since Sliske had powers similar to the World Guardian, by slaying Guthix, OR did Sliske actually ascend to godhood at some later point.

Mahjarrat are semi-divine, Sliske had gained a ton of power, or maybe the Siphon being stabbed into him had an effect.

I know Mahjarrat are semi-divine, but whenever I think back to a Mahjarrat death (Lucien and Jhallan, or even Palkeera's dead body) I see no stone.

That's why I think it was the Siphon personally.

When Jhallan died in the ritual of rejuvenation he didn't leave behind a single trace, also the other mahjarrats who have ever died in history never turned into stone. They leave behind only "memories". There is no stone body of either Mizzarch, Lucien or Nabor and any dead ones nor a trace in the mahjarrat memories miniquest. I find Sliske's death the strangest for a mahjarrat, he could have been a demi-god tier deity like Amascut or Icthlarin.

I'm pretty sure we're meant to understand that Sliske has, in that moment, become some sort of god. Lucien, Palkeera, and Daemonheim lore all establish that non-sacrificed Mahjarrat leave corpses behind. Somehow, our knowledge of Sliske's secret plan enables us to stop him from slipping into the shadow realm, and makes us immune to his magic in the final phase of the fight - indicating he has become divine.

So, was there some sort of plug on all the artefact and godly power surrounding him, a stopgap keeping him mortal that we somehow managed to pull? I'm hoping the replayable release of Endgame restores the scrapped cutscene and explains just what happened.
