I don't usually bring Runelabs stuff here. But since it seems to concern the lore community, figured I'd give it a shot.

Can Support Here

Jagex has been telling us for a while that Quests are limited due to budget. Thats understandable, since they do tend to be heavy on resources. However, its annoying that several good quests we've had this past year are only made temporary then removed. Quests like the Penguin Sequel in December, The Easter Quest, and Now Meg's Cases. Jagex is already doing the work to make them, they should stay in game.

My suggestion is that any Quests Jagex makes for holidays should remain ingame. I'm not talking about "events" like minigames, or stuff where players interact, just the Quests and Miniquests themselves. Any greatly overpowered rewards like exp should be removed from them when the holiday is over but the quests should remain.

They're already putting all this work in, why not keep it.

I agree. While I myself have been able to follow all story-related content in the right order so far, I find it a shame that newer players will not be able to experience the story of Runescape in the same way as others, most notably the world events. I can imagine someone's confusion when seeing Bandos alive and kicking in Missing, Presumed Death, only to see him dead in the Mighty Fall, without any idea as to what happened inbetween.

So yeah, support.

I like this idea! While I do think that the cosmetic rewards should be limited to the holiday event, the quests should remain and perhaps even be replayable. They could maybe fit into a new category of "quests"?

I absolutely support this. Really, I think they need a beta-questing world, where they don't have to worry about minor bugs interacting with our main character. I adored having the Myreque quests available for replay on the beta (played em thrice!) and I would adore having the same for Mysteries of the Mahjarrat, Void, Desert... As well as perhaps a revolving door of seasonal events, and time-locked miniquests made available.

The BIGGEST missing story component, however, is definitely World Events, with how monumental an impact they made on the lore, and with how much work went into them. I'd love if WE1 and WE2 came back annually for, say, a week each. But even if they can't do that, I think the devs need to implement a bottle quest or a Tale or SOMETHING that presents the story of the Battle of Lumbridge and (especially) Bird and the Beast to players who missed 'em.

I missed my chance on taking part in that.
Unfortunately, Jagex has said that a relatively small amount of players made use of this quest replayibility beta, so they might not offer it again.
The legendary creators have been long gone from this world. When they return, they'll be surprised and angered of their creations' new sapience. Meanwhile, the world's most elite, summoned to be its guardians, have abandoned their purpose and intend to plunge the world into chaos. -- Bionicle or RS?
