Their empire would suck. Both of them are weak rulers who never get anything done.

Not so!

Elidinis was the only person who could have lead the Menaphites during the 4,000 Years of God Wars. Despite the fact that there were Armies running ransack across the entire world, and the fact that for a good portion of the wars the northern half of the Kharidian peninsula would have been completely overrun with invaders, AND the fact that the Menaphites also had to keep a mad goddess suppressed, it seems that Elidinis did really well in leading the Kharidians! They even made it out of the God Wars with Three cities, when the grand total of cities around the world at the end of the God Wars being maybe six.

She also signed an alliance with Saradomin, which was probably a good move. Most of the World is Saradominist now, so she ensured good relations between Saradominists and Menaphites for the foreseeable future. Also she got access to cool tech and trade from them, like Golems.

All in all, she seems like a really effective ruler.

1 is that she is dead.
OR
2nd is that she doesn't want to return, out of sadness and despair that her husband destroyed her beautiful, lush land. As you may know, the Kharidian Desert was once a green forest, until Tumeken blew himself up and turned everything to ashes (aka sand.) In my opinion, she found another plane as pretty as her old home and refuses to return to the barren wasteland.

1) I would be upset.

2) That doesn't make much sense, since Elidinis didn't leave immediately after Tumeken's Scourging. In fact, she ruled the desert for four thousand years, longer than Tumeken had, during the God Wars. We know she was active, since Nardah was founded.

Speaking of Nardah, we know she was SOMEWHAT active in Year 169 of the 5th Age, because Spirits of the Elid happened, and pretty much the entire plot is that Elidinis was unhappy with Nardah turning away from her, and had her spirits try and thirst it.

I personally think that she's just laying low during the Sixth Age. If she's out of sight and out of mind, then she's not gonna be a target. That's a strategy that worked well for her during the God Wars, and it's gonna work here. I also think that she's been pushing her influence into the land here and there, but not trying her luck.
