I am very sure the staff of armadyl is not an elder artefact, or Armadyl has hugely changed it to bear his symbol. It is known that Armadyl and his followers had amazing craftin capabilities (The godsword was made by Armadyl with the purpose of slaying Zamorak)
There is a very small chance Armadyl is an elder god, but I highly doubt that seeing his major activity in the war

@Claybot Or they adopted the symbol from it. I am more on the side of it isn't than it is. However it is necessary I think to include it until we have confirmation otherwise.
The Godswords are actually fairly weak compared to the staff if you think about what the staff has done.
I do not think Armadyl is an elder god in any way though.
@ Ausilus I agree with all you say. However I feel the stone is more powerful as it is the only thing leaking magic everywhere and it has it's own defence mechanism created specifically for it. Perhaps it was even used to create the others. It seems to have similarities to some.

True, armadyl might have copied the symbol, but not likely.
The staff is indeed more powerfull, but nonetheless the godsword is lorewise very powerufull (Ingame it's not even that good).
According to Kree'arra's book, it was supposed to be enough for him to win the battle against saradomin's army, and when it shattered there were major battles (War of the godsword) to collect it.

Ritual of the Mahjarrat. Azzanadra himself could counter the staff not the stone.
Zamorak wouldn't have survived long enough without it to be quite honest. Also the Dragonkin did go for him except he was banished before they could get to him and destroy him. Then he returned as a god and nobody could do anything about it.

Okay, I never knew that. This is starting to sound more and more like he got banished on purpose.
And you need to type faster. I want to read this stuff as it seems quite interesting :(
I'm pretty cool
