Mod Osborne:So, a new Myreque quest is a priority, but we couldn't justify it in the same year as the Elf Quest/City. Next year might be Vampyre year.

They have nothing to do with each other and take place on opposite sides of Gielinor. There, I just justified it.

He was talking about justification in terms of time and resources spent. Both quests would be huge, graphically intensive, long extravaganzas.

So will other quests that they're looking into working on soon, like the gnome finale (which will open Arposandra). From what I've seen, more players would prefer another Myreque quest first. There, just justified that too.

Wondering if the new upcoming boss (Arraaxor) who apparently resides in Morytania, will bring any useful information...

I hope we'll be able to get some kind of lore drop.

From the sound of the bts, this big spider eats Vampyres...

Wonder where he could hide in Morytania though...

I shall now domesticate Araxxor and ride him into battle against the vampyres!

Or her. Female arachnids are generally larger than males.

EDIT: The BTS says 'his'.

Yeah I want Veliaf to die, I never liked him much as a character. I want to know more about those natural Icyene powers

I want all of Meiyerditch to die.

But then again, I want a lot of things that probably won't happen. Like Gar'rth appearing...

gah, if only. He's the true heir to the throne of Misthalin, it'd be amazing if they could include him, but I guess Vanescula has enough playthings at the moment. Maybe if the werewolf spinoff ever happens...

No novel references confirmed by Ana.

That's unfortunate. Hopefully we'll be able to see Gar'rth and Vanescula interact in game at some point. She has a particular interest in him, although that may no longer be the case after Tenebra's death. Perhaps we'll see it in the werewolf spinoff series, assuming that they'll both still be alive at that point. We don't even know if Gar'rth is alive now.

Well, huh. I never thought I'd see the day where Vampyres and Floor 61 would be considered for a quest at the same time. Color me surprised o.O

And that would probably be the most fitting way to end the series imo. It's been made pretty clear that nobody's coming out of a scrap with the vampyres without some serious consequences, so pairing that idea with the whole haemalchemy thing neutralizing the vampyre's blood thirst would make for the perfect sendoff to the series.

If the vampyres do end up using haemalchemy to rid themselves of their dependence on blood, then there really isn't much use in keeping the humans and werewolves of Morytania around. The healthiest of their population could certainly be maintained for continued use in slave labor, but it'd be most efficient to kill a large portion of them off.

If that were to happen, I'd imagine that the werewolves at least would probably fight back once they figure out the vamps have no place for '** around. Which would probably be a good starting point for a story involving Gar'rth, now I think of it O_o

Assuming that Gar'rth is still alive, yes. I think that would be a great direction to go with the werewolf spinoff series that Mod Ana wants to do. I like the idea of Gar'rth trying to establish an alliance between the werewolves and the Myreque. It would be interesting to see an unstable alliance between the two, neither trusting the other, but ultimately knowing that they stand no chance of survival on their own.

Ana confirmed there will be no novel references [D:], but she did like the plot point that Vanescula still owes Malak, so that might be used at some point, in this quest or the next.

To my knowledge that was only for the Myreque series, not the werewolf spinoff series that she wants to do if the opportunity arises.

A wild vampire, eh? Welcome aboard then, it's been a while since I've seen another around here that wasn't Drakan O_o

Support the werewolf quest(s) runelabs suggestion! It would be closely related to, and have multiple tie ins with, the vampyre/Myreque series.

I usually don't like to look around RL, but now you got my attention. What's the search code for it (them)?

The Runelabs ID is 29247. Or you could just search 'werewolf' and the title of the suggestion is 'Werewolf Spinoff Quest(s)!

RIP Mod Ana, on RuneScape 2010-15

Fortunately she's still in the same building so Mod Srowl*y could theoretically hop over to ask for help. Reckon he's the new Myreque curator?

Wait....back up a second. What happened to Mod Ana and when? O_o

Though this wouldn't be the first time the series got handed off to someone else after the curator left (I still miss Tytn :'( ), I was always under the impression that Srowl*y was going to be working off of Ana's design docs or somehow involve her with the project anyway. Did they announce a change or something that I missed?

She's not working on RS3 anymore.
