Sliske's ramblings:

We're not as similar as I had hoped, are we? It won't work unless I can make them more... compatible.

[There are assorted diagrams that looks like a person, but with something coming out of them.]

I have a plan. It might work, it might be the solution to my little problem. I have most of the pieces right here and the rest I can easily obtain with only the slightest bit of subterfuge.

Yes it will work.

They'll have no idea what my real goal is until it's far too late.

Sliske recently used the Staff of Armadyl on us to drain some of our soul energy, who is to say something did not go the other way as well.

Have we been made more compatible?
Now what is that fruit loop up to?
Does he need us for something to do with him?
Is Sliske readying us as a host?
Who would be the one he is readying us for?

Sliske is definitely up to no good, yet again. But what?
The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,
Poke monsters with a sharp stick, Then steal anything that isn't nailed down!

My best guess is that this is why he tried to take our soul. That would explain the "something coming out of them" part. It would even explain why only a part of our soul suits Sliske's purposes just fine, as that could be all he needs to make himself, or somebody.. something.. similar to us. Is it our body he wants? Does our body or our soul have the blessing of Guthix?

I'd say we have too little information to go on at this point. What is certain is that Sliske's interest in us can't be chalked up to mere personal curiosity. We are some manner of chosen one -- not just in the context of Xau-Tak, but the Fremennik as well -- and Sliske knows what's up. Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

Oh god the shippers were right, Sliske wants to date the World Guardian. The magic wasn't stealing our soul, it was trying to make us part mahjarrat! And female. Ugh.

Which, let's tally:
-clothes
-dyes
-something out of the general store. I think it was a cake tin?
-a crystal ball
-empty vials

Clearly he's just trying to look pretty for our date.

Maybe Sliske swings both ways?

Fremennik, now that is an amazing point to make. The Schism was mentioned in the Divine Delusion, where it was stated (basically) that more seasoned adventurers weren't so easily "sucked up" by it upon dying. This would suggest that when people from Teragard die, they go to an afterlife in the Schism. Notably, we have been to the Schism afterlife in this case when we die in (I believe) Blood Runs Deep by the falling rocks, and then returned to the mortal plane. Fremmenik are of the few remaining people who still have some understanding of/ belief in the origin of humans.

Totally tangential, but thinking of "Fremennik" and "chosen one" automatically reminds me of Dune -- y'know, the Fremen and the Kwisat* Hadera**. Need to start using that Serene Gaze override again...

Hum... maybe our chosen one status has something to do with our human ancestry?
