I'm sorry if this point has already been made in a different thread, but there's something I'm rather confused by, and that is the outcome of Zaros and Zamorak's Viniculum Juris; that is, in Children of Mah, Zaros and Zamorak struck a pact: during Sliske's Endgame, Zamorak would perform one action as Zaros's Legatus Maximus, and in return Zaros would return his energy.

The main problem I have is, during Sliske's Endgame.. it never happened? I believe it was brought up once, but Zaros did not order Zamorak to do anything whatsoever. Rather a waste of a demonic pact I would think.

If I were to guess, this would be because I (like many others) were too slow in the Labyrinth and so Armadyl had Zamorak go it alone through the Labyrinth. But if that's the case it's a bit of a waste of an intriguing plot point. (And I'm aware that it will be repeatable but... come on, who is going to do that maze again?)

I honestly hope I'm completely wrong and I just missed or forgot it because I'm an idiot...

Zaros will use it on Zamorak if he races you and beats you to the stone. That's the point. He had a deal with all the other Gods (excluding Seren) so he can make them hand over the stone if they win.

He kidnapped Saradomin's daughter. He nearly killed all the Mahjarrat. It's implied he did something similar to the Aviansie. He targetted the friends and families of the other Gods so he could use them as blackmail to get the stone. This way if any one of them had won, it'd still be Zaros' victory.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Nope, he saved the Mahjarrat and offered to help Armadyl's people in any way he could in exchange.

The plot point is to get the concept of the Juris ingame. It is possible to race Zamorak at the end, but at an extremely low chance due to his point rating. The point was was to get the player familiar with them so they can see that he did the same things with Armadyl and Saradomin, also as a way to get Zaros in the room at the end. You can't be this gullible. Seriously believing that he just happened to decide he wanted to help the Mahjarrat, because he loved them with all his heart and coincidently made the exact same deal he made with everyone else.

So, he had something similar for all the Gods. Saradomin, he kidnapped his daughter, Armadyl had his own Praetor command. It just depends on who you race to the stone to see what command is given.

Basically, he has strings on everyone, and lies too much.

Saradomin also had his own command too. :) Zaros called Saradomin Praetor Barista and Armadyl Praeetor Plumilis.
I submissively obey Lady Seren's every whim and relish every waking moment willingly serving her. She is my mistress and I am nothing without her. I am without thought, self-awareness, and being without her. She is my everything.

I never said he loved them with all his heart. They are not the equivalent of Serens elves to him.

He does care, Even during Endgame he expressed pity for Sliske, wishing he could of helped quell his madness, keep in mind they are his younger siblings, they do make up his ranks, and he doesn't want them needlessly destroyed, so he saved them.

As for the deals, this is Zaros we're talking about. He doesn't have a single card to play, he has a deck to use. As if he'd just use Zamorak as a sure fire way to get the stone, of course he'd use every lesser he could.

Quite brilliantly too, Reading the dialogue we learn Zaros didn't steal her directly from Saradomin, it appears she was lost/imprisoned on an Obsidian world, or something, Nex retrieved her and Zaros was holding her at ransom for the Stone, to which Saradomin happily and I admit did what any good parent would do, and gave up the stone in exchange as was their pact.

As for Armadyl, quite easy, help the Aviansie any way he can, the stone is an easy price to pay for that.

Zamorak, we've already covered

I would also like to add that Seren also had strings on everyone, too. If Seren was ahead of Zaros in the race, it was revealed that she made a pact with the winner I am guessing. She used some Welsh command to initiate her own special elven-themed pact and made bargains with each of the gods. She calls Armadyl "plentyn diniwed."

She rekidnapped Adrasteia from Zaros and used her as a bargaining chip against Saradomin.

I know these things! I'm just salty at Zaros and feel like bashing him for a few days. :)

Did anyone else have Seren actually override Zaros and take control of the Stone? I'm feeling kinda lonely here seeming as I'm the only one who seems to have had it happen. I had Zaros invoke Saradomin's oath, then Seren called Saradomin something like geas obinatis to attempt to override Zaros, Zaros then overrided her, but Seren revealed she stole Saradomin's daughter from Zaros and forced him to transfer the oath's hold to her to avoid war.

Both Zaros and Seren were at full power for me and it was kinda hilarious to see Seren outmaneuver ZAROS of all people. It seems for the oaths:

Weak Zaros > Weak Seren
Strong Zaros > Weak Seren
Strong Seren > Weak Zaros
Strong Seren > Strong Zaros

So since Zaros never invoked Arma or Zammy's oaths since they didn't make it to the end do they still owe him one? Do they owe Seren one since Zaros gave her control of the oaths?
We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.
