Further evidence that elves commit interbreeding is the fact that everyone has the same last name among clan members. Arianwyn Cadarn, Elen Cadarn, Lunet Cadarn, etc. and having the same last name suggests you are related right? They could all be cousins, sisters, brothers, for all we know!

I think that it is more the case that it is a clan name rather than a last name. To illustrate this point, I present the current Lord Iowerth (Lord Iestin Edern Iowerth) and his deceased younger brother Nissyen Edern Iowerth.

The idea of two siblings having the same middle name is fairly unlikely, which suggests that the name structure of an Elf goes along the lines of: Personal Name, Family Name, Clan Name.

Nissyen Edern has never been called "Nissyen Edern Iorwerth", only "Nissyen Edern".
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you[...]For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?

Yeah, I know. But seeing as he's judging off of the wiki's names for the characters, I presented him with the names on the wiki.

I've always imagined the Clan's name was the last name, but the Family name was the middle name.

So, Iestin (Name) Edern (Family) Iorwerth (Clan).

No one would want to join the boring Cryws clan, and most elves are pacificistic and wouldn't want to enlist in the army (Cadarn/Iowerth clans) etc.

Everyelf has different personalities, so your opinion here is kinda inappropriate. I don't see why they wouldn't be allowed to switch clans, but it wouldn't surprise me if tradition to stick within your own clan was so strong that leaving was heavily frowned upon.
