Could someone link me to the video this is based on? I was never able to find a video of this past runefest....

Idk why, but they took the Lore vid off of YouTube, and all RuneFest stuff was taken off of their Twitch channel for some reason...

Updated Nomad stuff I added to the wiki later, not sure if I ever posted it here for you guys:

https://youtu.be/TCASvEM2OZg?t=26m2s

Video should start at the correct time.

Original message details are unavailable.
However, Nomad felt that Oreb's teachings were insufficient. He later killed Oreb, and aware that necromancy may be a way to avoid death, went to the Lumbridge Catacombs to speak with Dragith Nurn. Nurn, now a skeletal shell, refused to divulge his secrets. Nomad realised that Nurn was a dead end and returned to his research.

Realising that the knowledge he sought could not be found in tomes and scrolls, Nomad summoned, captured, and bound the imp Zimberfizz to his service. Later, in an attempt to escape from service, Zimberfizz lead his master to the Kal'ger Warmasters. However, Nomad endured their training; being pushed well beyond his limits. Embracing their arts scourged his flesh, and he returned to Gielinor as a mercenary. Nomad was frustrated that he could not defeat one enemy: age.

Despite this, Lucien refused to teach Nomad any of his secrets, forcing Nomad to find a new way to gain power to rival Lucien.

Nomad's final master was man named Ephraim, a necromancer living in ancient ruins from the God Wars. Ephraim had an interesting theory that Nomad took to study, "The mortal soul was a force of boundless potential, curtailed by only our all to brief lives. Given greater longevity, we might far outstrip the gods, who before went the luxury of a soul." Nomad again, killed his master. Believing that conflict was what made a soul grow the most. He took Ephraim's stronghold, and created the Soul Obelisk.

Ok so I am going to sound like a complete fool when I ask this, but I am studying up on this part of the lore, all these planes and worlds from the charts we've seen, do we have any record or knowledge on where the gods went when they left Gielinor?

V
mentions many different worlds and planes he traveled to where he encountered
Xau-Tak
and the Queen of Ashes, does he simply mean other planets or could he, along with some of the other gods, have visited these planes?

Where did
Tuska
come from when she came to Gielinor?
Are there other major threats coming? The universe being so vast, has Gielinor been discovered by other...beings?

If someone who has much more knowledge on this could enlighten me on where the gods went when they left Gielinor and just how much knowledge do they or even we as the player have on all of these places?

Saradomin went to Hallow (New Domina), Armadyl roamed the cosmos like V, Zamorak was... at the bottom of the Daemonheim rift I guess? Unsure about the others. But I'm not quite sure what you're asking? A plane/world is a planet, so when V says he visited a world where gods have ravaged the land, he's talking about a planet. Maybe other gods have seen the same planets, maybe not - there ARE a lot, after all.
Tuska came from the Abyss, since that's how you travel between planes. She probably hopped off a random planet she had finished devouring.
And.. Yes, Gielinor has been discovered by other beings? There are hundreds of non-native life-forms on the planet, so I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at? .-.

I should have been more clear, I was just wondering the whereabouts of the Gods during the edicts and where they traveled to, and by beings I meant gods and just how big a threat can they pose to us with us having Gods like
Zaros
or
Saradomin
to defend Gielinor?

I wonder if there is something that even the Gods fear or cant stand up to.

Is it bad that I want a huge threat to come at us that necessarily cant be killed, only maybe delayed.... or slowly affects us all. Just a real challenge something more formidable than a Tier 4-
Tuska
.

(A stretch I know) but what if it was something the elder gods also unknowingly made or Wen knowingly created that is capable of killing an Elder God.

I have a theory I am working on that states
Xau-Tak
could perhaps be the manifestation of corruption within Wen, but its just a theory.

Tbh it looks like they're doing that with multiple different entities -- e.g. the way they're setting up Teragard seems to present the planet and its people as a massive threat should they ever decide to leave their world. Then there's obviously Xau-Tak, and there's whatever is up with the Shadow Realm, and the elder gods in general, and the Queen of Ashes sounds like she has an incredibly large interplanar following - albeit not on the scale Saradomin has.
I'm most looking forward to Teragard tbh, or any technologically advanced human colony world *nod*

I have a theory that there are gods more powerful or as powerful as the Elder Gods inside the Void.
It's been stated that only Elder Gods can create life and that none of them really made any life apart from Mah during her dreams and the TokHaar created with the Elder Kiln. However, the Void is filled with life, even though it's an area that the Elder gods seem to very deliberately block off from the rest of the universe.

^^^ The Void pest lore rn is really wonky since quests state that they're from a normal plane with a tropical climate, and they just use the Void to travel - but then recently Jagex said they're actually FROM the Void, so either it was a lorefail or their homeworld just drifts in the Void. If the latter is the case, it's possible that there are other elders that create other universes aside from OUR elder group, and possibly some universes that were created without Peripheries separating them from the Void. I don't think it's a good idea to assume a retcon has occured. Currently we have both a quest and a lorebook confirming that the Pests come from another plane and merely use the Void to travel. Mod Stu most likely made an error (note his use of the word "inexplicably". Doesn't seem like a deliberate retcon to me!) . Either way, I'd argue in-game lore trumps out of game statements.

Also I don't think the preiphery is necessarily a defense mechanism. It's the edge of our universe, that doesn't mean it was deliberately created to defend against something. It may be necessary to contain the universe, to keep the universe from "popping", maybe there's nothing special at all about it and it's just how we comprehend the edge of our reality...

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
