Not quite. Teregard was completely under his control and still worships him to this day...which explains why it's so orderly and cold over there. We were told shortly after TWW and Guthixian memories that Saradomin abandoned the humans because they were too weak. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

He abandoned them, but I'd like a source for it being out of weakness. I'm not sure if that's in his character. The lore q&a seems to imply that he was just... done with them.

Do you remember where that was said to begin with? I don't, having been years ago.

I'd say it is somewhat ironic that humans now provide the backbone of most armies. How galling it must be to see how far they have come since being abandoned as weak.. Well, how far the Gilienorians at least, and they did step on a few faces and innovated their way to the top of the pile. With the kinds of things Gilienorians have been up against I'd say they'd have to have been fairly ruthless.

Humans, as a whole, are still weak with most of them being lower than imps. However Saradomin's stronger races (Centaurs, Icyene) were wiped out or are animals (unicorns, lions).

There are definitely powerful humans, and overall I would say that humans have some of the greatest potential as individuals. But they stand out so much that Azzanadra doesn't even consider the WG to be human. As a species, humans just aren't reliable with many of them being poor soldiers or a complete liability. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. @Ancient Drew

Quick thinking? ....I wouldn't say humans are quick thinking, which is why Sliske is able to so easily trick them (but avoids trying this on demons). They are generally good at adapting, and for somone like Nex it makes sense to use a race that is fully obedient, rather the rebellious demons.

And what are you talking about?

Black Knight
Bloodveld
Hellhound
Zamorakian sniper
Chaos dwarf
Black Knight champion
Champion of Infernus
Abyssal demon
Nechryael
Ancient warrior
Ancient mage
Ancient ranger
Blood reaver
Wolf
Seren warrior
Seren mage
Seren Archer
Automaton
Wight
Skeleton
Wight ranger
Necromancer
Fallen champion

That's 11 humans....but 4 of them are undead, so really 7 humans. Out They're outnumbered 7 to 16. And I don't think Sliske cared for the species of the soul...he just wanted ours because we're the WG.
