- Verac is secretly Zamorakian.
- Ahrim forced Guthan's love to leave because she was Guthixian and would corrupt him (Ahrim was strongly saradominist to put it midly).
- Guthan(I think, can't quite remember) convinced the other to accept Sliske's deal.
- Dharok was a bully in his youth, but has grown considerably nicer over the years.

- While he was a member of Senntisten's secret police Sliske had a case involving sailors (one of which was a werewolf) going mad from something known as "Xau-Tak". One of the insane crew members was sent to Nabor's asylum and once Sliske arrived to question him he stood up and said:

Do you really think you can save them, Rivendell*? You can't. The spiral of time leads only to the gaping maw of eternity. And this is Xau-Tak.'

(This explains why our name is in the book there)

Nobody knows who this mysterious person is, but the last entry in his journal contains the player's date of birth and:

Rivendell*? Really? Is this the key at last? I must watch and see.

* Whatever the player's name is.
-------

Here's where it gets interesting. In Sliske's laboratory he has a blackboard with pictures of a mahjarrat, soul runes and alchemical equations. He also has a book written by a Terragardian Magister about the nature of the soul. The Magister theorises that the soul is actually biological in nature, not connected to the divine in any way, and that it might be possible to theoretically transfer a soul from one body to another.

So Sliske has apparently been looking into Soul transfusion. At the end of the quest he actually tries to absorb our soul, but stops midway through when he realises we've seen some of his secrets. He then proceeds to kick the crap out of us.

My theory is that Sliske wanted our soul so he could be truly immune to the god's magic, like we are, so he'd be safe during endgame.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

In his laboratory there was also a shadow realm focus; a magical ritual used by Sliske to focus his shadow realm powers. Once the players looks into the focus they see his plans (offscreen so while The PC sees it we never do) and we have a cutscene set before Missing Presumed Death where Sliske is talking to a mysterious entity, seemingly his "master". -

He kille her spirit that Sliske fetched in the quest, yes, but IIRC he didn't kill her while she was alive in the past did he? -
