With this year's Halloween event taking place in the Dimension of DIsaster, let's take some time to record the new lore about their world that this event provides.

Black Knights control Falador
Trolls control Burthorpe and Taverly
Guthix was able to drain the gods of their divine energies before banishing them (kinda makes you wonder why he didn't do that in our reality).

Oh yeah, and, if the construct is anything to go by, Bandos was apparently grey beneath all that armor.

I really really liked the drained Divine energy divergence, I too wonder why Guthix didn't do the same, Perhaps he didn't know he could?

Although Zaros showed he could effortlessly do this, literally effortlessly, he floated one step to the left to dodge then began teaching the mindless beast that it had indeed dun goof'd.

Perhaps it can be seen as an act of malice, it'd be like reaching inside a human and wrenching with all your might to rip out their insides.

Guthix certainly had ample opportunity to the stop the lessers for good, but always felt it best to just put the problem to the side. Props to DoD Guthix for getting shit done.

Indeed, DoD Guthix seemed far more resolute and adamant in his actions than our Guthix. Though it inspires the thought that perhaps if he were woken in DoD he'd genuinely 'remake' the world as the traditional Guthixian druids originally believed. Certainly seeming Zemouregal have his degrading run of the human kingdoms would be a cause for concern in Guthix's eyes.

Did he really get shit done though....? Would you not say that the Dod universe is (subjectivly) worse for the majority of the inhabitants? Is it not possible that the universe would be (subjectivly) better if he didn't drain the gods, spread tons of divine energy shit everywhere, and instead prepared for a world guardian?

Is it not possible that our Guthix would have originally drained the gods of their energy should he have not met us in WTL? Is it not possible that our encounter caused him to realize later on that there is a better way to deal with the gods?

I'm more curious how he did it. Did Saradomin just watch and wait for him to finish draining Bandos until he said "next in line, please"? Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

He actively did something, not just side stepped the problem.

Apparently DoD Guthix had no compassion in him, which is what led him to simply banish them in our world, not scatter their essence like dust in the wind.

Bandos's armour wasn't actually full covered plate. :P
You can see from his concept art that the grey parts on his in-game model is his skin.

Like you can pretty much see most of his arm when he was on that throne during World Event 2.

If you've been planning something from the second age, how can that be considered side stepping a problem?

Can't it just be the same Guthix with the same temperament/personality, just this time he is using an idea inspired by us?

I thought Seren never made it to Gilienor in that time line?

If so, Guthix never had the calming influence of Seren to temper him throughout the First Age.
So when he woke up at the end of the God Wars, you had a pissed off Guthix infused with divine rage, instead of a far more moderate Guthix who just wanted the offenders gone.

No World Guardian = No one to go back in time and get noticed by Seren's scout = no Seren on the world = no reason for the World guardian to go back in time to get advice from Guthix on how to put Seren back together = no one to go back and tell Guthix he dies in the future = no bootstrap paradox

Seren made it to Gielinor, she just didn't stick around. She still came to Gielinor originally, but didn't stick around for two reasons.

First, the player character never went back in time to give her hope that something on Gielinor could help her cure the elves.

Second without the player character's influence, the boy from Meeting History went on to a become an accomplished and fairly evil sorcerer, and eventually Guthix put him down. This display of violence horrified Seren and convinced her that Guthix would not be able to help her. This resulted in her pacing up and leaving Gielinor with her elves.

Now considering there was at least one point in the character's history when we had not influenced Jack in the past (prior to Meeting History (otherwise we'd not have been able to change past events like we do during that quest)), our Guthix is likely a bit more kind than alternate Gielinor's Guthix since well, none of the stuff in their world's past happened in ours.
