Something just came to mind. How old were the gods when they ascended? From what I understand, Guthix was roughly middle aged since he had a daughter who died in what might be considered her teens. Zamorak was likely to have been born on Freneskae, and the Mahjarrat preserved themselves with the Ritual of Rejuvenation, so he may have technically been in his prime when he ascended.

As for Saradomin, he claims to have been young when he ascended, but has always been shown to have a beard. Then again, he is known to be able to change his look (which he often does), so it's difficult to determine whether he was that old or was an angry teenager or kid. Armadyl could possibly have been quite young and is clearly reluctant to say much about what happened apart from his usage of the Siphon. And Bandos was a young adult chieftain who led his troops to conquer his planet, before killing Jododu and letting meteors rain down.

So what do you think? Please feel free to post your opinions.

Well what they were when they ascended and how they present their age now, says interesting things about them. Even when they made the change and why might tell us something about their thinking. What we lack though is hard facts. The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,

From pure speculation I'd guess Saradomin chose that elderly bearded look to give off an aura of wisdom.

That appearance usually gives off that type of feeling.

with the mahjarrat there's not really anything like 'in his prime'... what matters is how well you do in the rituals, not how old you are (and older definitely isn't worse, it just means you've survived more rituals and as such are better at 'winning' them)

I'd guess, based on his ideas and his ambition, that zamorak is one of the younger mahjarrat (not younger than most living, but younger compared to mahjarrat accross their entire history), but at the same time old enough that most of the mahjarrat have respect for him. I'd guess that at this point the only mahjarrat older than him are Azzanadra (mod someone said azzy might be one of the originals), Kharshai, Sliske, and possibly Bilrach

the story 'twice burnt' tells you that Zamorak set his rebellion in motion around the same time as he was rejuvenated
"Zamorak took a sip from his red wine, two beady eyes staring at me. I broke his gaze but instead found myself scanning the rough skin-folds of his forehead, his prize from a successful rejuvenation. I felt sick thinking about the skeleton I had grown accustomed to, hiding underneath that skin."
That wouldn't really matter though, since age for nigh-immortals is more about experience than physical strength

Are You looking for exact age or say % of life lived? As in, I believe the Naragi were confirmed to have longer lifespans than humans, and Mahjarrat live for thousands of years.

Saradomin: Young adult.

Guthix: Mid-Aged Adult.

Zaros: "Baby"

Seren: "Baby"

Armadyl: From his demeanor...young adult or teenager.

Zamorak: "Old age" ...I consider all the Mahjarrat to be "Elderly" since they are all living past their natural lifespan. They certainly sound elderly.

Bandos: In the middle of his prime.

Tumeken: Just a random guess...I'll say old age.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

I was thinking about percentages really. I mean Aagi was a few centuries old when she died but her horns were starting to grow, showing she was akin to mid teens for a human.

As for Mahjarrat, I would say they start off in prime shape, age to a skeletal form, rejuvenate, then go back fresh as they started with a power boost.

*zamorak hobbling along with his walker* "back in my day-... ...-none of this fancy-... -...uphill both ways-... ...-young punks these days-... ...-get off my lawn-..."

to me the natural lifespan of a mahjarrat is as long as it can keep surviving the rituals. saying the rituals aren't natural is like saying eating isn't part of a natural lifespan for humans 'oh, look, its lifespan is like a few days or so'

Worth mentioning that that's Naragun years. I believe the TWW q&a claimed that Naragi live roughly as long as humans, so Naragun must have incredibly short years.

I feel like Saradomin could have been any age really, since anything is "young" relative to his current age. 50s or 20s seem just as likely to me.

Zamorak... I suppose if you assume Lucien and Zamorak are roughly the same age, then you could use Lucien's age from Top Trumps to make a guess. He's incredibly old, that's for certain. I don't get a "60 year old general" vibe from him though, more like he was in his youth... Completely irrelevant as far as Mahjarrat are concerned though. I could look up the closest ritual to the betrayal and determine how "old" he was based on that, but I'm too lazy.

Armadyl always seemed young based off his appearance and personality. So young adult seems likely.

I got the impression that Bandos was also a young adult, as he gained the position of chief when he was very young IIRC.

Tumeken I can see as being anything from young adult to an old man, but I think Elidnis was probably a young adult.

Marimbo - however old Gorillas are in their prime

^ Similar answer for most of the uplifted animals. Though with Tuska's race of super boars it's hard to say.

Queen of Ashes is impossible to say, but let's just say young female of an unindentified species for now. Sounds pretty likely.

Xau-Tak could be a Karamthulhu i suppose, which would make him a few years old I think, or he could actually be a lovecraftian horror from outside the void, impossible to say anything for certain.

... Aaaaaand i've run out of meaningful answers

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
