I have a question. My sons and I have had memberships since 2007. Lately we hardly log in to our accounts.
Apparently his account just became permanently banned do to a moderator report for using macros on Old School. He hasn't even logged in to Old School for over a year. He has NEVER done anything against the rules of Runescape.
When I submitted an appeal there was no option to send a note with it. How do we fight this ban?
It's possible his account was hijacked either because he entered his password on a phishing site or downloaded something that contains a keylogger. Or perhaps a dictionary attack, but I find the latter extremely unlikely as they would still need to get his username in the first place.
As to whether it actually was him who used macros, you can only really know for certain if you have been there looking over his shoulder every second he's been playing the game.
Original message details are unavailable. Actually he does sit next to me on his desktop (he has no other computer to play on) He wouldn't even know how to make a macro.
So, we are supposed to just kiss an account over a decade old because of something he didn't cause? Did someone else ever had access to his RuneScape account? If yes, the hacker might broke the rules by botting for example and now you're being banned for that.
