Hacked because of rs mobile?

So I downloaded rs mobile on my iPhone 8 because I figured I might be able to skill more and train more but after having the app for about two days and only used mobile a few times, well after my last time using it I logged out And then tonight I tried to log into regular RuneScape and it said I had to use my Authenticator but I didnít have an Authenticator on the account so I went to my email and disabled the authenticator and I was then able to log onto my account they had split my Slayer helm to get the go from black mask =gg imbue+1m took my armadyl crossbow Karils top and bottom zammy d hide boots necklace of anguish dfs and anything else I had out of bank because they couldnít get past my bank pin although they had set it to cancel in 3 days. So overall I had about a 95m bank and now itís 17m with 6-7m in supplies I havenít shared my password with anyone or used unsafe WiFiís or done anything that I would allow someone to get access to my password.This leaves osrs mobile Iíve had the acc with the same password for quite a while now and never had issues with it or needed to change the password. Idk if itís a bug or if someone has done something inside of the application.
I am trying to maintain a positive attitude because I donít think that anyone at jagex intended for passwords to be leaked through mobile Iím hoping this incident is isolated and that nobody else has their account hacked because they played rs mobile that would truely be a scary thing to have happen. Hopefully this gets worked out Iím not expecting anything just upset that I got hacked seemingly because I played and downloaded osrs mobile. If anything like this or other things have happened because of osrs mobile then something needs to Happen before more players go through what I went through tonight.

Just had my whole account hacked today, cannot believe it!! I have played on and off for so many years now and i thought i would finally get back into it. Lost everything i own. Over 50Mil worth of stuff gathered over time. I can never go back to this game ever again, pc or mobile. Thank you Jagex and the team at runescape for allowing this to happen.

Having multiple authentication methods and different passwords set on ALL accounts is equally important (email, phone, runescape, etc.).

Players are encouraged to authenticate their email and Runescape accounts with 2-Step authentication. This adds an additional layer of security to email and Runescape accounts other than a password (again, it is advised to use different passwords for all accounts). This can be done by visiting the email account provider's website and by setting up the Runescape Authenticator (click here for the mobile guide).

Players are also encouraged to have a bank PIN active in-game to protect banked items/gold, even more so whenever removing a security feature like the Authenticator from their account.

When playing on mobile, be sure a passcode is set to lock the device when not in use.

From the sound of your post, it seems only a bank PIN was used to your advantage. There are many unsafe programs, links, phishing sites and scams on the web. It's best to keep your computer secure with anti-virus/malware protection and to avoid visiting sites/links that may not be safe (Twitch, YouTube, fake Runescape logins). Always be sure your're visiting the real site by typing: runescape.com

Daylight I did have Authenticator on if you read my post it mentioned that I had to turn Authenticator off because I was changing phones and needed to set up authenticator on my new phone

I believe the same thing happened to me earlier today. I do not use 3rd party software; nor do I enter my information on any sites EVER. I logged on today to find out that My 4 mil, 2 old school bonds, and some of my bigger items had been taken. I saw that they sold my items on the GE and I assume traded it to their account. I don't feel this will deter me from playing again, but I do think I may wait until this issue is resolved. I will admit, I had put off getting and authentication and bank pin because in my 10+ years of playing I have never had this happen. Unfortunately I waited to long.
