I guess I'm curious about why mithril bars would go from 700ish (720 tops) to 640ish within a day and then stay there for the past 2 days. Has someone dumped a butt-load of them onto the GE? Have many mithril bar making bots been established recently? Is simple supply and demand exerting a lot of pull at the moment?

Is there any clarity for this example of OSRS economics?

720 was the 6 month high. The fall was a correction. Likely the 640 was an over correction as a lot of people saw it hit the high and started making bars and over supplied the market.

When you take into account that from june 14 until sept 19 the price was below 640, it isn't that surprising.
Stop being a entitled snowflake. If you want something in game, earn it rather than demand it be given to you.

It's still too high imo. They should buff the quantity dropped by Grotesque Guardians and other monsters. Draft dodger btw. Too scared to attack an enemy that tried to harm my loved ones so "I only learned to defend". Typical boomer born right after the era where my parents suffered the solitude of WWII, deprivation of the Great Depression while I never had to suffer jack or risk a thing. :)

What is really sad is that before mid 2016, the price was steadily between 1000 and 1250. Stop being a entitled snowflake. If you want something in game, earn it rather than demand it be given to you.

As for topic, mithril bars is a odd item, not really needed for many things since steel has cannonballs to protect its price, addy for decent fletch and alch value items as well as people use addy darts a lot with bp as its much cheaper method of training range.

Hi Holy Warren,

The reason for the low prices if a fair consequence of drop tables of new slayer monsters. Gargoyles drop 15 at a uncommon rate and Dust Devils drop 10 at an uncommon rate. These slayer monsters are highly sort after and assigned often. How quick they can be killed helps more players acquire Mithril bars. Over-time the price has gradually gone down since more people have it (supply), then there are buying them (demand).

Hope this clears it up.

They should add in PvP armors and charge them with mithril bars. Draft dodger btw. Too scared to attack an enemy that tried to harm my loved ones so "I only learned to defend".
