I recently submitted an account recovery for my main RS account. Upon getting the account recovered I found that it was banned for Major Macro. Can a lead take a look at this and help with unbanning the account. I haven't played for a couple years. From looking at when the account was banned it wasn't during the time that I played. Can check IP's to compare... I can provide information on home locations at each time.

I submitted an appeal almost a year ago, and was told I would hear back from JAGEX via message center. I never heard anything back so I'm touching base again.

There's information on account bans and the appeal process here:
Account Bans

If you appeal a ban, and do not receive a reply to the Runescape account's messge centre inbox within 14 days, that indicates that the ban has already been appealed, and that appeal denied. It's a last chance appeal, so if denied they won't look at it again and won't repsond to further ban appeals for that account.

THe only email I received regarding the appeal was as follows:

"You're receiving this email as you've recently tried to appeal a ban, however the information you've provided doesn't link to a RuneScape account that has been banned.

The downside of having such an amazing long running game with more than 250 million accounts is that locating specific accounts without good quality information is very difficult – something akin to searching for a needle in about 30 different haystacks!

If you’d like help with locating the correct account details, please see our guide to recovering forgotten logins on our support centre.

It's worth pointing out that we’ll require very strong information to identify and prove ownership for an account; simply supplying the same information already provided will almost certainly result in you receiving a similar response."

And this was 30 days after my first attempt to recover/appeal the account. I submitted the appeal directly through banned account.

You need to put exactly the same login name on the ban appeal form that you use to log in to the website Account page to view the details of the ban.

The display name is shown towards the top of the website Account page.

Submit another ban appeal, and ensure you enter the correct information on the form.

There is no option to put in an account name. Just asks for email and reason for appeal.

Seems they've changed the form.

You need to be logged in on the banned account before you fill in the form. If you are logged in on a different account, it will submit the ban appeal for that account, and not the banned one.
