Hello Fellow Scapers I have been wondering if there will be a sequel to the god event ever since the end of the tuska world god event. I was always curious why the god events haven't continued as there is lots of potential for another god event hopefully there is love and support for this idea. The god events brought in some sort of interesting lore while having a blast with other players in the community It connected players and brought them together to enjoy the unique faction of gods while partaking in unique activities. I was thinking of an idea of having god wars 2 bosses as the gods representing the god world event along with Sliske just to note this is just a small idea I have in mind not reality but I hope others have some suggestions for ideas too feel free to post them .

Highly unlikely.

From a technical dev perspective, they already mentioned it was too much work for too little return.

Some players hated it because they didn't get to choose their narrative. It was solely decided by popularity contest.

Some players hated it because the pairings were relatively random.

Some players hated it simply because the side they wanted to win didn't.

WE3 burned out some people because it felt like it was rushed and then abandoned as the devs went to work on Mazcab.

The future of events will be closer to what we saw with "Invasion of Falador", "Invasion of Port Sarim", and 2018 H'ween thing.
Smaller scale borrowing from pre-existing resources as much as possible. With the lore being very tight so that if things don't swing a certain way, Jagex can just ignore it or hand wave or the "loss" would be nothing more than a slap on the wrist ... not a "oh no, the world is going to be royally messed over" a la Tuska.

After the start of The 6th Age, we had three real World Events, then nothing, aside from a couple of members-only quests. It seems rather anti-climatic to have even brought back the gods at all. What have they been up to? Why have they essentially gone into hiding after a few world-shaping smackdowns?

Perhaps we will learn something when Song Of Seren sweeps Gielinor in May.

And look at it this way: why have an all out war?
Really.

Several thousand years, you had gods literally walking among you. At the same time, you had an all out war that completely ravaged the land (just look at the Wilderness).
Then 1 day, the gods are all gone.
The wars sort of stopped.

Then thousands of years pass since the god wars.
Civilizations are built. Trade. Commerce. The thoughts of what happened before faded.

Then, the gods return?

It's easy to whip people up into a frenzy of sort. At least to have them shout "down with the [god faction]"
But people still remember history. They know what happened last time.

In the 5th and 6th Age ... you have commerce. Industry. Magical studies.
So much going on in the name of progress.

In addition, each kingdom had it's own issues:
- Misthalin was always guarding against Morytania
- Asgarnia was split between the Kinshra, White Knights and Burthrope
- Burthrope and Keldagrim were always fighting against the trolls
- The Gnomes were busy with Khazard's army and the monkeys and a cold war with Aprosondra
- The Elven kingdom had been splintered for centuries
- Menaphos and Al Kharid were in a cold war
- Ardougne had split the city into a quarantine
- Yanille was dealing with Ogres
Everywhere you went, cities and kingdoms were preoccupied with an already known threat. Diverting forces away to fight a god war meant opening up your prosperous city/kingdom to a very legit threat.

I hope so! I will always stand up for the concept of world events. It was absolutely a mistake for Jagex to abandon them. I understand if they had to cut them back or make them smaller but the idea of players coming together to affect story change en masse was such an amazing fulfillment of the very core of MMORPGs: players from all over the world joining together in fun and adventure.

So even if Jagex never brings them back, I will constantly mention them in surveys and forum posts any time I can.

I asked Mod Jack about bringing Morytania into the Sixth Age, and he speculated Zamorak might assume the vampyres' loyalty, while Saradomin considers them unfinished business. There are a lot of ways this could go, but I think some sort of permanent world event involving both factions would be nice. A proxy war between Misthalin and Morytania with god-aligned player armies, perhaps with Zaros pulling some strings behind the scenes to shift the balance.

Meanwhile Mod Raven would like to change every current Fifth Age area to the Sixth Age as well (especially Gnomes), which theoretically means getting the gods involved, as in the Fifth they kind of don't exist and are separated from the current narrative.

If you are keen to see more events, try to post a suggestion, as now is the time to revive interest, or let's witter about it on social platforms (e.g. Discord, Reddit, Twitter, etc.).

Mainly because the "gods" in the 3rd Age Godwar are exposed as False Idols by Guthix and called False Users by the Dragonkin.

The false idols and tribal rivalries that Guthix said must be removed, obviously, are not worthy to start wars against each other as they are being hunted by the Dragonkin. When they are hiding for their lives like Saradomin and Zamorak, logically they don't go at each other.

Another God War is not likely because Gielinor is busy at war against 2 much much much much bigger threats - The Black Hand and the Great Revision.

Do you have links/QFCs to pages and threads where I can read more about this? I'd love to read more about it!
