Korasi does a lot of the killing through the quest but does not ever seem to count against you. None the less, avoid killing when you can just to be safe. In the final fight, do no direct damage and you will be fine. Korasi can kill the other guard on her own. Do not tag the guard she is attacking just in case (she would probably stop you anyhow though).

Heart of Stone can be added to the list of quests that require a DTD.

All of the attendants can be recoiled for no xp. Once the prehistorical abyssal loses his armour and walks towards you (after killing Kipple and knocking out Ariane), you can DTD it for no xp gained.

Smoking Kills

4 skeletons tactic: do not tag any skeletons once you enter the room. Recoil/BN/etc the skeletons. Once 3 skeletons have died, tag the fourth one. The non-tagged skeletons will not respawn.

Once the final skeleton has died, wait 10-ish seconds for the mummy warrior to spawn. I believe the Revenge ability is necessary for it to drop the key.

^ that would have saved me hours fighting those skeletons. What I did was, get lucky with my recoils and then combo the final one with blood neck, so all were dead at the same time. LOL. To kill all of the skeles and then find that the mummy didn't drop the key was infuriating. Really took me so many hours...

I actually managed to do it without dt darts. I lowered my defence stat first by attacking cockatrices without a mirror shield. Then I just recoiled the skeletons/zombies to low hp and if there was one with high hp, i'd let the low hp ones kill themselves with recoil, then equip a blood neck to kill the final one with high hp. If I had used blood neck to kill a low hp one, the high hp one would not die in time before the others spawned again (because of blood neck's cooldown being like 15 seconds). It's largely a matter of luck and it took me a few hours to do this. Take 5 or so recoil rings.

For some reason, the keys just... did drop this time. I don't know why. I used recoil, blood neck and reflect ability to kill the mummy warriors. I did this the first few times and the keys didn't drop at all. The only difference that I can really think of is that I used the revenge ability for the fun of it (there's no point to use it since I'm not damaging directly) and that shouldn't have changed the outcome of the keys dropping, but I just can't think of anything else that I did differently.

The banshee mistress boss fight also seems possible without dtds. I got her to 1k health with just 5 sara brews. Used reflect, blood neck and recoil. I'm going to finish the quest at a later time.

Curse of Arrav: Arrav is immune to poison, and recoiling him does not trigger dialogue. Instead, just fight him normally until he reaches 10k lp. At this point a conversation starts, after which he teleports away. Since he doesn't die, no xp is gained.


The Path of Glouphrie: The Evil Creature at the start instantly respawns (and kill does not count) when recoiled or even recoil+bolas. Provoking it, however, makes the kill count.

For the terrorbirds, do NOT wear a DTB. When they go invulnerable, your DTB may trigger and deal direct damage rather than reflect damage. Recoil & BN are fine. It's best to hide behind a pillar until they go unaggressive so you can recoil one at a time.

It may be advisable to bring Bolas to this fight, since the Crystal Chime does not work when used manually, and instead activates only when you hit (not splash) the terrorbirds.

This quest now requires Revenge (15 defence) and poison/reflect too probably. There also could be something about if the armoured zombies stop being aggressive towards you so don't let them take their attention off you. Dtd the mirror image of yourself once it gets below 20k lp or so

Recipe for Disaster: Freeing Skrach Uglogwee:

Blood Neck Splash after hitting a 0 with Ogre Bow and Arrows. Use either Ogres or the spider wandering around to splash. Get ranged and defence to zero (or close) and wear high level magic equipment to greatly lower ranged accuracy. This will take many many tries and it's tough to control the location of the jubbly as it runs away from you. Using the above image may help in trapping the jubbly near an ogre. If you deal damage with range, the safest thing to do is to remove your bloodneck then your ogre arrows in that order. Then relog.

This pretty much confirms than blood neck splash makes Chompy possible if there was only a way to get a monster there to attack you.

As an addendum to the above: if you have completed Zogre Flesh Eaters, you may fire brutal arrows. Bronze brutal arrows have a much lower damage stat than Ogre arrows, which means you may not insta-kill a Jubbly should you accidentally hit it.

Everything in the quest that needs to be killed can be killed normally except for the Barrelchest MK II at the start of the quest. It is recoilable but it has like 60k lp so consider trying a dtd.

King of the Dwarves:

Colonel Grimsson should be able to be killed normally as he does not actually die however I used only indirect damage to be safe (recoil). The damage your follower, Veldaban, inflicts does not count against you.


Crocodile Tears:

Confirmed: the corruption, Ukunduka, can be recoiled it just takes forever so consider using a dtd. Immune to poison too. Just sit on the stairs for a while only taking ranged damage. Deflecting ranged damage probably helps (curse prayer) and you'll use up less saras

Do No Evil:

The three bosses at the end can be quite tough to recoil normally but it is possible. LP boosting armour helps plenty. Dtd help more.

Our Man in the North:

No direct damage. Poison poison and more poison. Though it's possible that the final boss, Ambassador Jabari, acts like another player in the duel arena as his magic hits are like a players rather than a monsters. On a main, someone turn off xp from killing other players and try killing him. See what happens. He does not exactly die ever either. But for now, no direct damage.
