Did you get in contact with akmet before making this thread?

edit: won't see your reply for another 10+ hours. goodnight.

Nope I didn't which is why I said that this may still change. However the team was in consensus that a new thread was needed. If they wish it back we'll gladly cross that bridge when we get there.

refreshes are a typical occurrence.

Fmods taking action in response to a request that Gen Chat lounge forumers put forth is not pointless moderation.

So is there a system in place for deciding on these refreshes or is it just a "when we feel like it" basis?

I think it's just when 'we' feel like it - it happens across all forums, nothing to get upset by :)

Well, HLF has a thread with twice as many pages as the one unstickied here, and they don't seem to have any issue with it. So I'm curious as to the rationale (if it exists) or if it's just pointless forum shuffling at a whim.

I suppose two different rules between HFL and the General Forums? I can't answer this, I have been coming here for years, well since about 2011 socially and by what I have seen within the General forums is threads get a refresher. I like it, I think it's nice - I don't feel it's a big deal.

And Halloween I have been trick and treating with all three of my children, but not until the age they asked to go.

There were a couple reasons for refreshes. The basic one is the cache loading time of larger threads. It's why they get refreshed. Another reason is a logistical one for moderation of which I can't expound on. There are others as well. However it was posed in a new thread by a user as to why not. So it was posed to the team as to whether we should refresh it. As such the team agreed so it was recreated. It should have been refreshed ages ago really.

The vintage spoon in the tea is starting to grow on me. Certainly not the first spoon I'd reach for at my house cause well I wouldn't trust my children with it. They have a knack for tossing out the silverware when they clean their plates lol. ~Tranq~

I know which thread it is, honestly I thought it was a parody thread. It was based off a negative aspect which I can see is how it got kicked to rants (whether or not I agree isn't the issue). We are always players first moderators second, except when were moderating then it flips to mod first player second.

So it's both, we walk a tightwire to get across the Jagex dungeon to get another cookie.

The last forum help was refreshed at around 13k posts, the current one is at 15k.

Ask jagex to refresh that, first ;)

It's interesting you mention that. As we have been looking at getting it a fresh coat of paint as well.

As to this thread we can revisit the refresh later on as well. It was only due to back end tech issues I was asking y'all. However the slower loading doesn't kick in for awhile yet so well let it run for now. Was just gauging people's opinions :)

Just wasted 11 dollars.. bought a box of baklava it was some of the worse tasting sweets I've ever had. Had to throw the box away after only one bite.

After only one bite and the product is bad, you take the whole shebang back to the store and tell them. Either they'll refund your money, give you store credit or a new batch. If not, stand there loudly complaining about their product and the service and you'll get very fast service, lol!

I'm with Jeremy on this one. I'm not one for causing a ruckus on a product I'm trying. When it comes to trying foods and all. It may be something you'll love it could be something you detest. If it was made properly it's not the stores fault you found it revolting. The next customer could taste it and think it's heavenly. As to Baklava I've never had a piece of it that I've ever enjoyed. Every time I try it I self wonder how people love it so much I always feel as if I'm choking it down. It's why everyone's taste buds differ. Ironically your tastes change every 7 years stuff you find gross you may learn to love and stuff you love you can find revolting. One day maybe I can appreciate the stuff.

The farm isn't that bad. Honestly it seems to be a farming sinkhole. Grow all these different things at allotments over the years that have been collecting dust in our banks. Now go forth and feed them to your animals...

Just instead of it being a gold sink it's an item sink.

The farm isn't so bad if you pay attention to the tutorial and don't just click through it. As to the mucking the pens. You get 20 farming xp every few seconds for doing so. However the idea behind is just like the real world if you have a pet. Cleaning up so the animals don't get sick.

So it's feed wait for game to create more and sell off the created for beans to buy more stuff.

I'm looking at the farm and something semi interesting to at least try. It's certainly a different way to train the skill.

If we had the farm early on I'd probably enjoy it far more than I have. As training farming was slow and this seems like it's more like a distraction and diversion that gives farming xp.

Great a movie with zero substance... Guess hollywood really can't be imaginative except hoping that teasers will keep people paying for nothing.

Sorry Rae...

If I could send y'all the Sleet we're experiencing in the Midwest I'd gladly ship it westerly. Less for us to shovel and I'm sure y'all could put it to good uses over there.

Perhaps this isn't the time to mention that the years of droughts there coupled with the (millions of gallons of water nestle has been pumping out of California for free for years for their bottled water company) is come to haunt y'all.

Because I saw your post. I went an ordered 1 too.

Can't wait to see it added to my collection. :P

I would love mine to have 23/180 as I use World 23 a lot.

Honestly seems cool enough. If I had to hope for a number I'd love #1, just cause it's interesting to have. I went and bought 1 but it always makes me wonder if they make more of them than the numbers suggest and just stamp a number on them after all who are we to know. They're a business after all.

Although for rarity things that people own for limited collectibles. I have the Artist Proof to this.

This is #309 out of 1500 you can currently buy. Mine says A.P./1500 and my box it came in says #4

There are back end reasons as to why a sticky thread needs to be remade. Can't really get into the technical aspects of it. I'm sure we'll eventually remake this one. Does it need to be done at the present time certainly not.

Edit: I'd point out that when I recreated it. The original poster A wasn't around and B had zero intent of doing so when people asked her to do so. It wasn't at moderator behest but community request.

I never win... Even when I won strangely I still lost. You'll find this humorous....

When I was in high school we had a weekly raffle. You got these cards from teachers that you could throw in the raffle for potential prizes. Well the raffle items always sucked except for the last one of the year. Since the cards had no expiration date you could save them to use whenever you'd like. Over the course of the year I had amassed well over 10,000 of these cards. (It was probably closer to 13,000 but that doesn't matter). Anyhow I dumped them all into the final raffle, won all the prizes as every time they drew a name it was mine. Instead of giving me my stipulated rewards, I was instead threatened with expulsion for rigging the raffle. When I explained I had acquired all the cards legally as they were certain I had stolen them. They checked with the teachers, and each teacher admitted to the fact they had given me a ton of cards over the course of the year. However they had expected me to use them throughout the year rather than being the hoarder I was saving them for the final raffle. Ultimately by the time the investigation had concluded, all my prizes had been given to other students and when I questioned them on it they're claim was it wasn't fair for me to win everything. I was like that's bullshit where are all my prizes, as the whole reason you put me through this and assumed I cheated to begin with was that it was obvious when you kept pulling my name out you were certain I cheated. Their response was that the prizes were already distributed and they couldn't ask for them back. My response was you better get me my prom tickets! It's the whole reason I saved them stupid tickets all year to begin with.

Funny part of this tale. Got my tickets then gave them away to someone in my class who couldn't afford to go, as my date cancelled on me. So instead of showing up alone I volunteered to work that night so they'd have gone to waste otherwise.

With loadstones yep the only glory telly that I used with any regularity was edgeville. Even then I guess it's still faster than waiting on loadstone and closer to bank. I remember trading charged glories for uncharged ones when I had my geyser titan out in edgeville.

What to do with them now... Free crafting xp...

Now would I just make something up in order to fox you guys?

Well, okay, I probably would.
I like the fact that it's actually real. Nothing better than finding out something you think is completely made up, is actually real. Like the first time you find out that Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is an actual place, and not just some cat sleeping on the keyboard.

Honestly I find everyday a chance to learn something new. I'd still just call that thing a beet though.

As to the name of the town... I'd go with kitty on typewriter if it weren't for the fact they were trying to set a record for name length. I'm just glad I don't live there.

Not around here they ain't. I can get places so much faster on my own then waiting for a bus to haul me around. Nevermind the fact if you need a potty break and the bus doesn't have one. You can stop somewhere, the bus will ditch ya and you're stuck waiting for another.

Hi. Why nobody at here?

My weekends are often jamb packed with stuff to do as I work doubles all week so everything I should be doing during the work week I do on the weekends. Like this weekend had a garage sale and made over $180 off of stuff that was taking up space in the garage. I now have a 8' x 6' whole in the stuff in the garage. Granted the garage is 20' wide and 45' long so still plenty more I gotta sell.
