After Jagex saying in last weeks stream they would be removing sigils next monday (today) i log in after the update to see that nothing has changed.

There was no announcements either in these forums or in a news post about them planning to remove sigils last week. I didnt even know about it until i saw the stream repeat on youtube (i'm at work when the stream goes live). It came across as a bit out of the blue, and neither Shawny or Timbo knew enough about it to portray the proposed changes properly on that stream.

Today there was no announcements either in these forums or in a news post or in the patch notes about them being removed. Why, because they'd obviously decided not to remove them afterall. But again no mentions on their offical webpage or forums.

Why announce you are going to do something then not do it ? Its not like you said you are looking at it, or are working on possible changes. It was this is changing, this is when its changing, this is how its changing. Then nothing.

My biggest gripe is the complete lack of information about this to the players on either the website or the forums. If you're doing it, fine, let us know. If you're not doing it, fine, let us know. If you say you're doing it and you change you mind, again fine, just let us know.

What is the point of these forums or the website for news updates if you aren't going to post them here ? I understand there has been alot of player feedback in other social media. Even some feedback posts on these forums, but not in reply to an offical post about it, because there isnt one.

I guess i have to wait for tomorrows stream to find out whats going on. It would have been nice to read something official on here. It makes you come across as amatures with your handling of the whole situation. Just do it better next time.

This content is also removed from people who play on legacy mode, so i do not support it.

Jagex excuse is when mobile comes out more players will come back and they will be confused. i mean seriously i look at all the abilities and still get overwhelmed i dont see how adding more is a positive thing.

We would agree that regardless of the profitability of the loot box trade, the risks associated with them are worryingly high

In the stream that this change was announced, Shauny later said they'd have to push it back a week for more testing due to people demanding the abilities work 'off cooldown'. So yeah. Blame the community.

Original message details are unavailable.

Friendly reminder that Legacy is not a main gameplay mode and as thus will not have content tailored towards it.

It's not being tailored their weak excuse to remove the actual object and turn it into an ability which means it's now no longer useable in legacy isn't about being tailored but a lazy way of doing things.

As an example a "bag" you can right click to activate your sigils, it will take up an invo slot but it's better than no sigil. im sure jagex will say this is over complicated though. royal society magazine

I never use the sigils. It's not worth the effort to activate them for 15 seconds for a small boost. It would be much better if they were abilities instead so they can be used by everyone. The sigil slot has been asked to be removed before so this shouldn't affect anyone. The brightest ideas are the most undervalued.

Agreed. Abilities make way more sense.
