Why can't skilling QoL be QoL?

Why is it that every skilling QoL is easyscape of some sort that adds up drastically over time? I'm not asking that skilling be made as skilled as PvP whose QoL is constantly asking for nerfs, but these easyscape updates add up over time. Wouldn't surprise me if people classified LRC and choking ivies as QoL at this point. If you can't git gud and L2PK, don't cry for the rewards that come from it such as loot boxes filled with resources.

redwood trees take up the niche as afk xp for woodcutting


biggest issue with ivy imo was that it was "empty" XP. The content served no purpose in the game except to be a woodcutting XP handout. Redwood trees at the very least have some use for the logs, and are better fleshed out for the game world. They also have a steeper requirement.

I honestly can't tell what the point of the thread is: Is it against skilling "QoL" because it's "easyscape" or is it wanting to add these additional activities?

Further, "QoL" is usually reserved for tweaks to interfaces or existing activities that streamline how they work. "Cook-X" was a (now ancient) QoL change. As are the more recent changes to Smithing. Alternative xp activities are not "QoL", they're different, and yes sometimes faster, ways to train a skill.

Really? I heard the xp rates on LRC were 100k/hr and extremely afk. Idk about any of this other Pre-EoC stuff such as choking ivies anymore since it was all so long ago. Personally, I think redwoods are extremely balanced and I loved the concept. Woodcutting needed a decent xp highly afk method imo.
If you can't git gud and L2PK, don't cry for the rewards that come from it such as loot boxes filled with resources.

About how it adds up over time. I don't get why they can't be like PKers' QoL's which are constant nerfs and making players actually work for their rewards.
