So I found out one of my accounts was recently banned for botting on OSRS, I find this particularly distasteful for I am being punished for downloading and using OSRS Mobile, with my ban appeal being rejected. although I had just gone through issues with my account being hijacked, once it was recovered, not 3 days later my account is banned, almost 15 years of my life and hundred of dollars just wasted cause your bot detection program is faulty and full of bugs.

that was not a good read, that was a redundant read, I am claiming there is a bug in the bot detection system, and the mods that reviewed my appeal are blind. i downloaded OSRS on mobile when I found out it was launched, got about a month of gaming in and blam! account gets hijacked, I spend the next day getting my account back, after I had recovered my account I find it drained of all goods, I start the rebuild and Blam! again, what? not another hijacking?.... instead I find out I'm being banned. After waiting for the reasons as to why I was banned to be updated, I waited patiently, And now to find out its because I downloaded the runescape mobile app and used it on my crappy Wal-Mart cell phone. Just because I go from not being active on the OSRS servers for a period of time, to making extensive gains because the new mobile app was launched, making it more accessible for me to play on the road, but no, apparently its botting when you buy bonds from Runescape website, and make fast gains from pay to win.

You probably need to think about what other Runescape related pages you have accessed.

Have you been looking at RS related Twitch Streams, or Youtube videos or Facebook pages?
Have you clicked on any links in the comments to these?
Have you been asked to "sign in" to access double exp or a giveaway?

Not all hijacker activity is detectable.
It sounds to me like your hijacker managed to deceive you into allowing them full access to your RS account. By full access I mean via a trojan.
The really sinister hijackers manage to access our RS accounts as though they are us and, if we get Jagex to investigate, it just looks like we have been using our accounts, trading our stuff away and committing offences.

If your ban appeal was denied then I would say the above is what happened.
The tragic thing about this, is the account owner ends up carrying the responsibility for the hijackers actions.

I urge you to review the security of all your RS accounts.

The client was downloaded from the official play store, not some generic app store, and as many other are experiencing these hijackings, and unnecessary bans from literally doing nothing but downloading the OSRS Mobile client and using as intended, to enjoy time spent in Geilanor with our friends and fellow Runescapers.,
So what are our repercussions? we get banned, just pay attention to a lot of these threads, and you will start to see what is really going on.

All this with out accessing any other sites or apps that would require my personal information, at this point there is only so much we can do, even with the authenticater and bank pin set and active and all your stuff is set and secure, hacked without even a sign, no e-mail on my main or secondary accounts saying anything was even compromised, not even my e-mails were compromised. Jagex is the one that need to step up their game.

Right now there are over 115,000 players logged into Old School.
OK, I don't know how many of them are using mobile access but it would certainly be more than a few.

If what you allege above about the official download is correct, these forums would be swamped with thousands or tens of thousands of players, all complaining about their mobile download causing the insecurity.

"literally doing nothing but downloading the OSRS Mobile client and using as intended" is not the cause of the hijacking and consequent ban your account has experienced.

Sometime, somehow you have been duped into allowing a hijacker access to your account.
Your email has not been the problem and is not insecure.

From what you have posted, it sounds like a social media dupe.
These dupes are designed to be seamless and not obvious, otherwise players would not be so easily deceived.
