Instead of a 7 day probationary period in order to cap, Jagex has decided that when a player leaves a clan he/she must wait 7 days before being able to join one or rejoin their old one.

This is the worst update to possibly happen to clans. Players have already not seen many updates to the clan system due to its complexity, now it is so much harder just to recruit for them.

Recruiting has always been finding players who want to be in your clan, whether they are in one or not, they want to be in yours. A clan who just formed will have a hard time building up numbers because a player would not want to be "clanless" for a 7 day time. That 7 day time means no avatar buffs, or other clan bonuses.

Jagex please revert it back to the probationary system, do not ruin clans for players-it is keeping your community alive.

Players used to have the free will to leave a clan. What if they didnt like the leadership? or the activeness of the clan? Don't punish players for trying to a clan better suited for them.

EDIT:
Problems with the new system--
1.) Clans can troll players by recruiting then kicking them so they have to wait another 7 days.

2.) F2P clans will be near non existing since, they cannot use citadels. This system trashing F2P clans.

3.) If someone leaves a clan they are unhappy with, or are kicked they must wait 7 days.

4.) Not all clans open their chats to guest, due to trolls, spammers, and poachers.

Thank you for your future support and time for reading this

Original message details are unavailable.
No support, otherwise people would just keep leaving/rejoining and be able to OP summoning and crafting experience. This is much better than how it was previously.
You have 0 idea how the old system worked, do you?

A new member used to wait 7 days before being able to cap, that way they couldnt leave and rejoin clans to continuously get xp.

Even if this system was to stay, at least reduce the limit to 3 days,

surely there's another way to stop a player from leaving and re-capping, it's simple, just make it so it logs their capping progress across all clans, therefore if you leave the clan while capped, and re-join, you're still capped. It's simple. This 7 day clanless makes it almost impossible to recruit as most of RS is in clans therefore you can no longer recruit members from other clans.
Can you match my resolve? If so, you will succeed - Monty Oum | Time to -2015
