[Regular Rs Rules Apply]. We are also a mixed Friends Chat of OSRS and RS3 players so haters of either game will not be tolerated (But civil discussion is fine).

Introduction:

Greetings. I'm here to tell you about my bossing friend's chat. Here, many players will come to team up in bosses and pvm. We are a passionate friend's chat who believe everyone deserves a chance to learn bossing and advance their skills. We are happy to help any learners with their pvm feats, provided they are patient with us, as we will be with them. Leechers and ungrateful attitudes won't be tolerated here.

Please request all desired PvM activities in the FC. Also, anyone can host events in the FC by using the Grouping System.

So how does it work?

Players should join the friend's chat and ask what bosses people would like to do. As players become more accustomed to the friend's chat they will be far more likely to have people join the events they want.

Adds are prioritised for more active members and those in discord.

So how do you start finding people to boss with?

It's a very easy procedure. Simply join the friend's chat and request the activity you are looking for. If nobody else is doing that activity, you can instead ask "what else is going on?" to which people in the friend's chat will respond with the information you are looking for.

We most often use the Grouping System to administrate events. This is a flexible system, as each group may hold 50 players each, and allows the host to have greater control over their own event. It is our aim to help grow the community and encourage unskilled players to work harder and become knowledgeable, rather than rejecting them with an elitist attitude. However, this does mean you need to show you are a capable learner.

In addition, events can be exclusive (open to specific requirements) or inclusive (open to anyone). All events should display in the friend's chat the way loot will be distributed, but exclusive events need to also explain if there are a specific limiting factors, such as: number of players who are allowed to join, minimum combat levels and gear required to join the event. If an event host does not give out this information, they should not complain when people turn up who were otherwise unaware.

Types Of Looting:

FFA + Keep
-

Here, players will keep everything they receive and normally the loot goes to the highest dps (Damage) in each kill. This is effective for small teams but if the original drop holder dies the event host must take the drop and give it back.

FFA + Split
-

Also recommended for small teams but in this scenario the event host will usually take and split loot to all team members after the 1 hour instance. If you cannot last the full instance time, then please do not expect a split although you may be lucky enough to have the host preserve some for you upon your next login.

Lootshare + Keep
-

The main system we use which requires a group system to initiate and will divide all loot based on lootshare points which offer each individual a chance of loot based on drops they didn't previously receive (or did).

Coinshare
-

Also known as Shard Share, a system by which all enlisted drops are divided into equal amounts of shards to all participating players upon dropping. This is sometimes used for shards that will sell at a high value but not all drops will become shards and therefore is particularly absent from the fc, but not unused.

Hybrid Systems
-

For example, FFA + Keep but everyone who receives a drop has to give a share of loot (10-20%) to the tankers who cannot dps for drops after the hour's instance.

Additional Note: Events Usually Last In 1 Hour Intervals.

How Do Training Sessions Work?

Dps training for bosses will normally include a session of FFA where hosts will encourage joiners to embark on new tactics to maximise their damage output at particular bosses or rotations. We also use challenge gems to test dps. Learners normally leave these events with more enriched knowledge and are generally more confidant as a result.

For tanking, we normally like to start people off at the Lumbridge Combat Dummies to teach them how the defensive abilities work and how they should be used when fighting. You may then start to attempt tanking bosses like Raids, Vorago, AOD (etc) but keep in mind you need to be a very good tank that does enough dps to keep the boss's aggro on you. You need abilities timed precisely.

Information About Free For All + Split:

Players should go for about an hour to the boss and after the event give all loot to the highest rank or the event host who can then split all drops after the event to all players involved. For this reason, it is recommended to only do FFA + Split with smaller teams so this is made easier and only if you can attend the full hour or it will be harder to keep track of who you still need to split with.

Information About Being Scammed Or Mean Behaviour In Friend's Chat:

If a player is really mean, encouraging poor conduct or scammed you in some way, you and the other players who saw this act should message me or a general rank and explain why you think this person was scamming/being mean and if lots of other people agree with your case, the player can become blacklisted.
