Loreleisaid: Hello, my name is Zoe, and you suck at fight writing. You do, you're awful, and that's why you're here.
Zoe you ************, don't you EVER TELL ME THAT I AM BAD AT FIGHTING, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME????
I AM BETTER (actually i would like to think equally as good) THAN YOU!!
**** YOU ZOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, the thread is really nice and I'm very happy that you mentioned the armor aerobics Youtube video which seems to destroy everyone's logic on armored agility. Also, thank you for incorporating physics. You have no idea (or rather, do) how much it seems to be overlooked and how flawed everyone's view of kinetic and potential energy, momentum, delta-v, gravity and thermodynamics in magicks is.
This thread is so much
. I'm surprised I've not seen it until now.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I can testify to the issues of being a shorter fighter, from the perspective of the guy who's the tallest in his fencing class.
In the event of drastic height differences, there are the people who have their pres-de-fleur and other techniques down well enough to force my blade aside, close in and attack before I can reposition myself. If they're fast enough, they'll strike me before I can reset the distance between us to something that suits my tastes. The ones who haven't aced the techniques for dealing with notably taller people will usually perform the technique, but poorly enough so I parry, and fighting continues, usually in my favor.
Remembered that this exists and had a solid laugh at my own intro. 12/10I am going to break your arm so that the bone juts out and then I will stab you to death with your own insides. I will win this chess game, is what I am saying.
