Welcome to Morytania, land of blood, swamps and fierce monsters. Now under new management since someone let the corpse smell get too strong.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Group Info

The aim of this group is to recapture the feeling of old Morytania roleplay, this time with an overarching and dominant house keeping all of you lovely troublemakers in check, and avoid some of the problems of the past. Land has traditionally been a matter of concern in Morytania, as it is rather limited. In this incarnation of Mory rp, land will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Other than that, maim and kill to your heart’s content. Everyone is welcome to take part. Given the generally overpowered and over the top nature of Morytania roleplay, no character nor plot is too outlandish, so long as it doesn’t directly violate Jagex established lore. If you have an idea for a plot or character, please feel free to come to me, so we can make it come to life!

The only demand I make is to maintain a friendly and non-toxic OOC atmosphere, and that people stick to community rules and guidelines. Morytania is a place of political intrigue, evil creatures, and threats to the province, if you want to make it happen then by all means - do so

Port Phasmatys and the Coastline
The cries of the dead haunt the ghost port of Phasmatys. As Morytania’s only port, it is the dark land’s only link to the outside world, aside from crossing the blessed river. With a citizenry of ghosts, Phasmatys is an odd link between mortal decedancy, and spiritual residualness. Unfortunately, Phasmatys faces trouble in the form of a nearby den of Araxxite Spiders, which provide ample threat to Morytania’s only source of trade. Famously owned by the Foryx coven, it has since been transferred to new hands.

Burgh de Rot
As Morytania’s only human settlement, Burgh de Rot is a frequent picking for tithes by the vampyric aristocracy. The overdrawing of blood from the citizenry has led to suffering on a terrible scale. Thankfully, things have gotten better in recent times - though only marginally.

Mort’ton
Abandoned long ago due to a mysterious green fog emanating from Castle Drakan, the streets of this previous human settlement has been since filled with the infected and diseased. The presence of the Afflicted, as they are called, have angered the souls of those dead buried beneath the village. Now, in combination with the Afflicted, undead shades lurk the streets, eager to satiate their fury by tearing apart any who dare to come too close.

Canifis
The trading outpost of Canifis is home to the werewolves from which it gets its name. It is a relatively rustic place with the famed Hair of the Dog inn as well as a frequent history of destruction and abuse at the hands of its Vampyric overlords. Following the turmoil stemming from a failed invasion of Misthalin, Canifis has since gained its independence.

Viggora’s Folly
Famously known as the Slayer Tower, this sinking pillar was once filled to the brim with all sorts of outlandish horrors. It has since been cleared and converted into a symbol of power for the ruling House Skalov. The current owner is unknown, but Artificial constructs and arachnid beasts roam its halls.

Meiyerditch and Darkmeyer
The grand capitol of Morytania is split into two main sections. The first is Darkmeyer, originally known as the holy city of Hallowvale. Here, the high council meets behind closed doors, and lives are spared or lost by secretive whispers. While werewolves are allowed to mingle in its lower reaches, the high tiers of Darkmeyer are still dominated by vampyric aristocrats. This state of affairs has begun to change, but at the pace of a Mort Myre snail.
The second section is Meiyerditch, which is the antithesis of Darkmeyer’s vampyric grandeur. Meiyerditch is a sprawling ghetto inhabited only by blood starved human ‘cattle’, and their vyrewatch overseers. With crumbling buildings made of spare materials, and constant abuse by the cruel winged lords, life in Meiyerditch is often hard, miserable, and very brief.

Houses and Covens

Name: Skalov
Head: Sadi Skalov
Territory owned: Port phasmatys, Abandoned mine, Viggoras folly
--
Name: Lagunov
Head: Demois Lagunov
Land owned: A small plantation in the haunted woods to the northeast of Darkmeyer and south of Port Phasmatys
Description: A human house located in Morytania that once owned a Spider Silk and Hollow Tree plantation. Founded before the Vyres took over Hallowvale, the Lagunovs have lasted throughout the centuries through the slave trade in exchange for protection from tithes and the slums of Meiyerditch. The last Matriarch, Hazel Lagunov, has been absent in the past few years and now the burden of keeping the family together.
--
Name: Senherct Coven
Head: Nathaniel Felson Nourom
Territory owned: Burgh de Rott

Brief Description: A relatively new coven that is comprised mostly of a mixture of old and forgotten houses. However they are relatively influential group, especially due to their head's ownership of the Deep Essence company.

Territory
Burgh de Rott, as well as some land surrounding the settlement
--
Name: House Ghrazi
Head: Kasimir Ghrazi
Territory owned: N/A
Brief Description: The vampyres of House Ghrazi are of a proud warrior heritage: they were famed for being the most vicious of all the tribes, and prided themselves on their ability to fight rather than stalk. Fighting was a integral part of their heritage, and they only hunted the most aggressive prey of Vampyrium. They enjoyed the overwhelmingly strong taste that aggression added into the blood they drank (an acceptable metaphor would be that the Ghrazi drank the blood equivalent of hard liquor), and they believed that they were ingesting the strength of all they ate when they did this.
