A correspondence arrived for Alexander Forrester; it bore the wax seal of House Calderon, a oak with a seven-pointed star above it.
I find myself writing this letter during the middle of the night, setting in my study over my third glass of bourbon.
I find myself drifting back to my younger days as an upstart knight under you father. Damn, he was a good man, you may not know it but he did his best to care of you, with what he had available.
The night that he was murdered I was due to rendezvous with him at the citadel. You know, weeks before he told me that he was suspicious -- but with the Siege of Falador and the war that raged outside of the walls, neither of us put much more thought into it.
Take what you will out of this letter, Alexander, but your father was and still is my best-friend, I've met not a finer man in all my life. If you should ever need anything, ask, I owe you that much.
After a few more days, another correspondence was sent to Camelot.
Truth be told, I can only speculate as to how your father met his end and will only do so lightly in the format of a letter.
The Citadel was all but destroyed and Rimmington cleared of all Forrester Guardsmen in a matter of hours, which points to it being an inside job. Your father and I had many enemies, that being said, with an entire Citadel being leveled on the eve of his assassination, there would only be one man in an empire with the ability to make that happen: Edward Grey.
Harys was like a brother to me and I do wish that he were still here with us today, I wish that more than anything, but he is off -- on a hunt.
It is with great pleasure that I write to you. I offer many thanks for your aid at Giant's Hill, on behalf of all Asgarnia, and the rest of the family. Your Camelite detachment fought valiantly and was no doubt the deciding factor in the battle.
His Majesty the King of Asgarnia has determined to pursue a further effort in this war intent on driving the Kinshra back once and for all. To achieve this end, he has decided to march on Edgeville.
As ever, all aid Camelot can send is appreciated,
James (the Elder), Duke of SarimiaAllahu Akbar

This international royal document details the legally binding agreements made betwixt the Kingdoms of Camelot and Kandarin, reached by King Rhames Grey and Queen Senna Vekon on the 17th of Pentumber, 1, 6th Age.
Article I - Sovereignty of Burthorpe
The Kingdom of Kandarin will henceforth withdraw all support offered to the upstart state of independent Burthorpe and condemn its existence and its criminal leader.
Article II - Military Alliance
The Kingdom of Kandarin and the Kingdom of Camelot will henceforth expand their non-aggression pact into a military alliance. In one kingdom is attacked, the other shall defend. This does not apply to offensive conflicts, nor does it extend to the Kingdom of Asgarnia.
Article III - Marriage
A member of the monarch of the Kingdom of Kandarin's immediate family will be henceforth engaged to the child of the monarchs of the Kingdom of Camelot in order to ensure peace.
