One of my accounts has been banned for swapping OSRS gold for RS3 gold.

I have names of both parties, amounts of gold swapped times etc. Timestamped Discord chat logs to prove it was a swap...

I used 2 different accounts thinking the same IP would stop this, however upon receiving the gold on the rs3 side, I receive an autoban. With the terrible appeal process, it's not even be looked at because it's a RWT ban...

I think the person I used is a gold seller, however swapping is allowed and these actions should not tied to this.

The account had a lot of time put in, plus it was 1.7 billion RS3 gold i've lost.

Does anyone have similar scenarios where they've had this reversed?

Hey Wellbad.

I am sorry about your ban , and since it is a RWT ban , then are there really nothing you can do about it.

Their are a lot of risk swapping gold between the games.

Sorry about your lose.

Hi Wellbad,

According to Jagex in regards to bans for real world trading, they will not reverse any form of punishment since what was given was what they deemed necessary.

More info can be found here: Account Bans

You mentioned that the person you used may be a gold seller. If Jagex connected that person to real world trading, they may look at accounts that interacted with it.
Knowledge is power; and so is dynamite. Both are dangerous unless handled wisely

Yes and they made a mistake, which i have no problem with, everyone does.

Some customer support to correct the mistake, is what the company is missing.

I don't play enough to make that money back quickly, so my only option of obtaining it in any realistic timeframe is through outrageous bond purchases or RWT, funny that.

Hi Wellbad.

Swapping gp between the games is not against the rules, e.g. swapping gp with trusted friends or family members. All the gp involved will have been obtained through proper game play which complies with the rules.

Dealing with some random website which obtained the gp by macroing, and/or scamming other players, and also sells gp for real world money is an entirely different thing, and a very bad idea.
