These are nice for passive agility training, but with so many skill outfits now I don't really get a chance to wear them.

It would be nice if they could be worn to complete skill outfits like nimble or combine / attach boots from completed elite sets (such has fury shark, elder divination etc) so they may be worn more.

I agree. I have thought about this many times, though never suggested it. I only wear my Silverhawks when doing basic daily stuff like collecting sand from Bert, Ardy essence, flax in Seers. Wearing during Player Ports is good. Even if you're serving beer as Sarula, they will kick in!

I think of the Greek God 'Mercury' when I think of the boots. Too bad they don't have 'anklets' (the foot version of bracelets) so that the Silverhawk Anklets can be worn with the boots of each outfit. But I suppose another outfit slot is a big add-on to create.

After reading the Comp Cape blog, I see they are making lots of things available to capes as 'unlocks'. Perhaps ALL boots could have a right-click option to Enable Silverhawk Effects toggle off or on.
Bite me.

It's pretty reasonable to wear them while doing low-intensity combat. You don't lose a lot of combat strength for swapping out just boots, not to mention they do actually provide +6 to each style, so they are better than just cosmetic boots.

As for wearing them while skilling, I feel like you can justify losing that 2% xp in the skill outfit in order to use the silverhawks the way it is now. Only cases I can see against are where you are using an elite outfit with an effect that will only trigger with the full outfit, like the elite thieving outfit.

For specificially the nimble outfit since you said it, I believe it actually does count as nimble boots. You should try comparing xp gained with full nimble vs nimble + shb and I think you'll find you're getting the same +6%.

This all comes back to the whole question about whether there should be BiS items or alternatives which offer varying benefits. I lean to the latter choice. SHB are a choice that if you make it will provide you with agility xp for doing nothing, but I think that a small price to pay is choosing not to wear other boots.

IT WOULD BE AWESOME TO HAVE.....

Similar the the completion cape and max capes? Where you can added multiple cape effects?

It would be quite EPIC JAGEX to have an ultimate outfit that you can ADD all your other outfits to to have an all in one rather than constantly having to switch between or like the OP stated sacrifice one 'reward' for another.

While that might be cool and all, I really don't see it happening.

I mean if they have a hard enough time with the slay helm and all its configs, this might be even worse.

I get where coming from with the trade-off , but what about some other kind of use?
Maybe able to a similar item to charge "silverhawk" the bird you can weild / carry as a 2h just have them stacking up and seems waste as I don't really find a convenient time to use.
Especially while trying to maximize XP per hour, which seems to be the main objective in the main game or trying to hit the maximum DPS/DPM.

Guess I'll save them til dxp when I decide to use up skill dummies ? Or make them a functional override would be amazing.

With all elite skill sets, you need the full sets for the set effects I think? So it's more than just a 1% trade off.

that would be even worse due to wise perk.... youd have to sacrifice that, and other crystal augmented tools... etcLynford said:
