Hello everyone, in this thread, I will explain what was missed from the last thread, regarding recruitment, and talk about opening the Raids Feats initiative again.

Please take your time to read all the posted information.

Note:
It will be required from all the team members who have been in the team before 8th of July 2016 to read this thread, and post in this thread to confirm having done so.

1. Recruitment, and having to "sit-out" (wait until the next day before you can participate in Raids).

As most of you have noticed, during the past month, I have been consistently choosing team mates (based on fair factors) to not join Raids in a specific day, and wait until the following day instead, due to us having an overflow of looters.

I must express that I fully realize this process can be frustrating, and can result in feeling singled out, even, when you are told to not join, after you have been fully ready and available to do Raids. However, what I'm about to explain will hopefully make you realize when you are told not to join, it is to help the team growth, which ultimately help you as well
(though please note this doesn't mean anyone should stop attempting to join the Raids Trips and/or our Friends Chat!)
.

In order to explain why the sitting out process happen at the first place, I must explain why we have over-flow of looters (during certain days) firstly. The reason of that is I over-recruit, by that, I mean I do my best so that we have over 20 team members in total, which exceed the total number of looters that happen across 2 days (which is exact 20).

But why should we have over 20 team members altogether, wouldn't 20 be sufficient? In an ideal world, it would be sufficient to have only 20 team member, but realistically; it is extremely difficult to guarantee that 20 team member will be 100% committed to attend Raids every time they can loot, hence why we have more than 20, so the extra number works as a supporting backup when we need to fill any gaps of attendance.

Does that mean recruiting more than 20 team member is the only way to seemingly fix the occasional lack of attendance for some of the team members? No, it is not. I will explain the other method in the next post, however, note that the other method have it's own downside.

The 2nd method for dealing with lack of attendance of some of the team mates, while keeping the team mates total number at 20 would be to:

A: Either rely on our existing team members who are unable to loot, but are online (to attend in place of those who can loot but are absent), or...

B: Rely on taking players un-affiliated with our team, from other places, such as 24/7 Friends Chats for Raids, to join us during a specific day only.

While these may seem reasonable workarounds, they have significant flaws in them.

The downside of *relying on our existing team members who are unable to loot, but are online* is:

• It can be unfair for some of the team members who are more available to be online on R.S, during the Raids Trip time. Obviously, not everyone will be online during that time (19:00 GMT), and not everyone have the same level of activity. You shouldn't have to help more simply because you are more available than others (although I realize that many have been very kind and helpful in supporting the team when it had shortage, but that is beside the point).

The downside of *relying on taking players un-affiliated with our team, from other places, such as 24/7 Friends Chats for Raids* is:

1. There is a high likelihood they will have nasty attitude (numerous past experiences confirms that).

2. There is a high likelihood they will perform poorly, due to them not being subject to our requirements and guidelines.

3. There is a high likelihood the method(s) of doing Raids they do will be different than ours, resulting in strategies clashing, and ultimately perceived poor performance.

Relying on both our existing team members or players from outside it (for a one-off time attendance) have a 1 shared extra downside (and by far the most negative one):

• Eventual and gradual reduction in our activity overall. When we are too busy on how to be self-sufficient without recruiting more team members, we will potentially be blind from permanent or almost permanent inactivity of some of the existing team members. Ultimately resulting in permanent reduction in our team activity, and stagnation.

And that is all to it. As you all can see, the solution being practiced currently (first method) isn't ideal, but the alternative seems much worse. It is important to remember that after you reset your loot progress, there is 2 days grace period before you will be losing out on loot, so the first method takes advantage of that.

I will be very interested in hearing everyone's thoughts on the recruitment topic, and if there is any other way it can be done which wasn't mentioned, please let me know of it.

2. Raids Feats Initiative re-opening

As some of our team members are interested and eager in getting these Feats done, I have decided we will be doing another (4th so far) batch of Raids Feats completion. However, we don't currently have enough interest as to who wants to do them (only 6 are interested so far), so no dates will be set yet, rather, I will explain the times and days of the week it will happen during, as well as the requirements it will require.

• Requirements:

A. Ability to commit fully to attending the feats

B. Fully charged Bandos book of war (for further debuffs)

C. Deathtouch Bracelet

D. Willingness to extend Accuracy/tanking auras using Vis Wax

E. Willingness to chip in to buy a Statius's Warhammer for one team member to use with melee, for the benefit of the team during the feats, in order to significantly reduce Yakamaru defence levels (we will only resort to this if we struggled without it). This potential payment will exclude those who will join the feats team purely to help out, and not to complete the feats. (Credit goes to Driftworks for this great idea)

• Times and Days of the week:

When we will do the feats, it would be during:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and between 20:15 to 22:15 Game Time.

I will set the Date of when we will start doing them once we have 9 team mates as interested. Currently, we have 6. Which are:

Amaterasu
Boxofcheerio
Driftworks
Hero1
Mr Manga3
Nex and BS

(If the times/days of the week mentioned above does not work for anyone in the list above, please include that in your post in this thread, and include which time would work for you instead)

I was planning to open a new thread and seek the remaining team members for feats from outside our team, but I have decided against that. I have decided to add more from the team members whom will be joining our team instead of some who was removed for inactivity.

Thank you for this post Lucine. I personally agree with Meg in the post below that you handle attendance very well and everything you have mentioned, including the long-term growth of our team is entirely understandable.

Our team is almost 1 year old, thanks to your solid and dedicated leadership and to those that have helped the team grow over time. :)

As for feats, that sounds exciting! Looking forward to the 4th batch of them if everyone's interested. :)

I think you are handling the attendance very well and I understand the reasons to sit out. I agree that your solution is better than the other options.

As for Feats, I am unable to commit to helping full time, but I would be willing to join in if you need me and I am able to attend. Good luck to all, it is very fun and exciting to do!
