Personally I hope Jagex will take a look at that 19% of players that never boss, it seems quite high for an mmorpg.

Not really for a sandbox RPG where you have so many other content to engage in. I don't even think that number is considered high for an MMORPG, just look at WoW, how many players are purely there for RP or PvP despite its huge PvE scene.

I’m probably over fixated on the word ‘never’ and tbf the surveys probably a bit botched by players choosing that option despite on occasions going to a boss. But having nearly a fifth of your player base not try content on release seems high to me.

Things I'm not a fan of:

-Bossing
-Slayer
-The idea of working toward Comp, or grinding multiple skills to 120
-The idea of 99 skills being upgraded to 120 without a good enough reason
-The idea of Combat skills getting bumped to 120(they are F2P skills and slow as hell to train there; it's unfair for F2P pures and casual players as members would have more of an advantage. We don't need to ruin PvP even more)
-Bugs/Glitches that make it harder for players to comfortably play the game
-Jagex's insistence on pay-to-win microtransactions and spoon-feeding way too much xp

Things that are actually detrimental to the game:

-The idea of Combat skills getting bumped to 120(though I guess one solution would be to functionally cap those skills at 99 in F2P worlds, so even this isn't necessarily a big problem)
-Bugs/Glitches that make it harder for players to comfortably play the game
-Jagex's insistence on pay-to-win microtransactions and spoon-feeding way too much xp

TL;DR, Adding more bosses won't necessarily be an issue. It's just more content for those who want it. Now, if they added new bosses constantly, and didn't bother to add in quests, skilling content, etc, then it would be a problem. But as of this moment, that isn't the case.

I like skilling, questing(mostly), PvP, minigames(i know they're basically dead), and casual mob killing for the hell of it. I also enjoy socializing, goofing off with friends, walking around in the game with no goal in sight...

I never said that I do not like skilling.

And it seems you missed the entire point of my previous post. Actually read it before making assumptions, please.

Its not just about how many players are doing the content, its also about how many hours are spent engaging in said content.

That should not be hard to tell us. They keep all that data so why not share it. Say 100k players x 24 hours so 2.4m player hours per day. How many hours doing bossing.

That only a example and not real numbers and they also need to do it over 7 days to get a average.

You also need to ask them if they really like bossing or are they only doing it because its the fastest way to earn money, xp and skilling supplies.

I refuse to believe the majority of players care about high level bosses.

that's just like, your opinion, man.

It's so disappointing to see the current leadership forgetting, or having no idea to begin with, what Runescape is about.

Bruh. the last high level boss encounter was released 18 months ago. what are you on about?

what is runescape to you? do you just want some afk skills? there are idle mobile games that might be more your speed.

Spend your time producing content that people can enjoy, there is enough bosses for people into that.

I dont remember the exact number but its over 98% of updates arent high level pvm related. so are you saying that you want 99+% of updates to be tailored to you and your interests?

Making more bosses is such a cop-out instead of producing actual game content.

they tried making non pvm related updates and the average players per month has dropped by 50%. how dead do you want this game cuddlebucket?

It doesn't take brains to come up with a new boss with new mechanics.
Stop doing what's easy.

spoken like a person who has no concept of how a good pvm encounter should go.

I find it hilarious that you equate a 50% drop in playerbase caused by:

- A (what was it, 14? 15?) Week dry-spell of nothing but patch notes

- Overabundance of powerful MTX promotions with red flags set of by their choice of words when meeting Parliament to discuss how Treasure Hunter is "good"

- The usual yearly drop in players as people go back to school

To it actually being just because we haven't had a chain of semi-successful PvM content like we have had for the last 5 years.

Also, how IS a good PvM encounter supposed to go? Because TBH I still don't think Jagex knows how to design PvM encounters on a 0.6s tick system.
