How are you so slow??? I made 5k mith bars literally yesterday and it took less than 2 hours without tryharding (I put on a 2h podcast when I started and finished before it ended), and mith is slower than steel due to the higher coal req, so how are you only getting 1134/h??????
You did see that I did this the cheapest way? No super run or stamina pots were used.

I am fairly certain that the extra bars would pay for the super energy, but don't think it would add much more.

Perhaps that's the big thing here to be debunked, then, as this thread continues on. Does it reach a point where being efficient (putting more money into the setup) becomes more profitable than doing things as cheaply as possible (which ends up being slightly slower)?

Based on what I've seen on this thread so far and my own personal experiences ingame, it does seem like throwing in that little bit of additional cash becomes worth it in the end - you process more bars in that hour, which eventually outweighs the additional fee of operating the furnace (in addition to the time lost if you also have to operate parts of the furnace yourself if you don't use the blast furnace worlds), as you can focus entirely on running back and forth between the hopper and the bank. In addition, having all the bars at the start rather than hopping during that 1 hour world period to buy it from the shop would affect the efficiency too.

(Also, not to go backwards here, but from my recollection as the not-so-efficient gamer that I am, I used to be able to do 2 runs through the abyss in a single stamina pot dose, which means a run would take me a minute at most - which seems to meet the suggested times from the rc guide)

Alright, well, this took a turn for the worse, and per the author's requests in 2 different posts above, this thread is now closed.

NonMax Jake, your one post a page back WAS flaming - its the one that set off the last page or so of drama; many posts here had to be hidden as they quoted it. And it wasn't necessary, and you know that.

---

The thing is, this thread (and the one before it) didn't have to be this way - the discussion topic had a lot of potential, as it is fairly well known that PvM methods these days do bring in the big cashstacks (but many also require a decent cashstack to begin anyway), but there are those lesser known methods of skilling that can also bring in decent money. This thread did bring some of those up, and yes, some will require levels or access that not everyone has, but that's just a reason to progress in the game, is it not? Obviously not every method will work for everyone, but there were plenty in that list that had potential.

Despite the mess that caused the last one to be closed, and the last page of this one, I do hope there were at least a few different takeaway points:

- Sometimes being cheap doesn't produce the biggest reward and instead paying in slightly more gives a benefit
- The more work one puts in, the more likely one is to profit from it
- Skilling CAN turn some profit.

And in the end, there's more to the game than just 'how much money can I make' - its a game, its meant to be fun. Play it the way you enjoy playing it, set some achievable goals, and most importantly, have fun. Anything you earn ingame while playing it is all just part of the experience.
